Chapter 1
"Hey Drake!"
"Hi Kai!" Drake answered as he turned around and waved.
Kaida smiled at her dragon, running over to him. She wrapped her arms around him, and Drake returned her embrace.
"Thanks for waiting," Kaida said, leaning back from the hug a little.
"No problem," Drake answered, returning the smile. "Hey, you'll never guess what happened."
"What?"
"You remember that draw they had at work?" Drake asked, and Kaida nodded. "Well, I won!"
"That's awesome!" Kaida exclaimed happily
"It is!" Drake replied. "We'll be able to see that castle again."
Kaida blinked and looked into Drake's green eyes, her smile fading a little. "We're going there?"
"Not like I could choose, babe," Drake answered rubbing Kaida's cheek.
"When's the trip?" Kaida asked, her smile coming back.
"Next week," Drake answered.
It had been about a year since Kaida and Drake had met. Drake had finished school, though Kaida was just starting. Kaida's parents were a little skeptical when Kaida had brought him home, but after a couple months of working Drake, went and got his own place.
When school ended Drake would meet Kaida out in front of the Collage and they'd walk home together. But now it was summer again, and school had just let out. Kaida and Drake would be going back to where it had all begun.
Now they were going back to where they adventures had started. Though what would it look like now? It had been centuries between that time and the current time in which Kaida was born. Would they actually learn from what happened; would they learn what happened to Vasska and the other knights after they left? Or would that part of history have not been recorded in time? Our couple would soon find these answers out as they ventured around the castle they would soon see once again. Would the magic of the past still be around for them to find, or would it have vanished with that mysterious woman?
The days would past and the time for the trip would draw closer. Kaida and Drake packed all the stuff they would need and all arrangements were made; it was just lucky that Drake and Kaida had gotten their pass-ports last month, or else they would never be aloud to go.
It had been the first time that Drake had been on an air plain, so Kaida had to keep him calm and explain things to him. Though later she'd admit to him that she didn't know completely what she didn't know a lot about how things worked either.
When their plain landed, there was a group of people there, to greet them and to take them to their destination. They were ushered into a car, and they started towards their destination. The country side was still set in spring. The greenery was so green and the forests were lush as ever. The trees were obviously taller, and held an ancient feel. It was just like how Drake and Kaida remembered it had been before; back then. They were given a brief history on the area, and how many of the buildings dated back to the medieval period.
"Drake, everything looks just like it was back there," Kaida whispered to the man on her right, which he nodded in return.
"I know, though the village has become a city though," Drake pointed out, actually pointing at the city they were driving around.
"Oh wow…," Kaida sighed. Her eyes traveled upward and gasped loudly "Oh God! Drake, Look!"
Drake snapped his head to the side to see what Kaida was talking about, and there, standing in all its untouched glory was that castle. It still stood high and mighty just like it had back then. It still shone like a crystal back in that time. The greenery had taken over most of the outer walls white washed walls, but nothing looked different.
They quickly found out that there had been a war, actually not long after Kaida had gone back home to her time. The towers had actually been destroyed, but then later rebuilt, not long after the war was over. The kingdom had won, but many lives had been lost. There had been an account of the Knights that Kaida knew, unfortunately, due to their age, Erik and Ryan didn't make it. They had fallen ill after a battle and died from infection. There was no mention of Vasska in the history lesson. Maybe he was erased from History when he returned back to his true form? Kyne has even saved the Prince, which Kinda felt very proud of him. The cousins Jasper and Faris had survived, and all of them got high titles for their bravery.
It took about half an hour to actually make it to the city. The drive through the town was just like Kaida had remembered, passing through on Vasska's horse. Though much more modern and updated of course.
As they drew closer to the Castle, Drake asked where they were going to be staying, and the young man that had been driving them the whole time said that they'd be staying in the castle.
Kaida looked at Drake and smiled. She had enjoyed her stay at the castle, no matter how short it was. But now it would be a little more convenient, with running water.
"This is gonna be great." Kaida said, smiling at Drake, and he nodded in return.
"I'm hoping it's going to be better than our last visit here," Drake replied laughing a little, wrapping his arm around her shoulders.
"I'm sure it's going to be," Kaida answered. "I mean, unless Vasska got reborn as well, and there's a time portal or something hidden in a secret passage somewhere in the castle… I don't think anything super natural is going to happen."
"I hope you're right Kai," Drake sighed, still smiling at her.
"Not the only one." Kaida replied, leaning up to steal a kiss from him, which he took right back, responding to her kiss.
Yes, i'm actually trying a squeal - i'm not sure how exactly this is going to go. I have a basic idea what i want to happen, which was all i had for the first one. I'm also trying this a little different than the first one, as you can see it's 3rd person and not 1st.
I also don't really know what to call this at the moment. If anyone has an idea for a good enough title, let me know!
Fixed it up alittle - there's a little more detail invloved now.
So, I'm pleased to give you, the FIRST (fixed up) Chapter of the Squeal to Me and My Dragon!
ENJOY!
