I closed my eyes and there was nothing.

The light under the door was the only thing
that kept me anchored to this earth
as I flew through the navy edged darkness.

The trees stopped shifting in the wind,
The dog ceased its howls and whines,
The moon shone on, in its golden white glamour.

No sound.

The echoes of yells no longer memories in mind.
The pressured phantom days erased.

The walls expanded outward,
room for flying in.

I closed my eyes and there was nothing.

I awoke shaking because there is always too much.
