"In the arms of another woman…" escape my clenched teeth in a low hiss.

This incident, this terrible deed, has cast the life from my eyes,

The color from my skin,

And everything but bones from inside my body.

Though weak, though emaciated, I yearn to hold on;

I will keep my grip tight so we will not part.

For the past few, dreadful weeks the I fear truth has been such,

You are no longer mine.

Surely, this all is some sort of lie,

A trick, a guile, to test my devotion—

To see if the poison that seeped inside of me by the way of your kiss,

That which permeated through every inch of my being,

Has not worn off.

These thoughts are churning, burning through my mind
As I coil a thick strand around another.

The beautiful golden threads glide across my fingers—

I smile and thank them for their graciousness.

Spinning, spinning, taking extra care

To correctly tie the knot that will bind us,

So even through our sweet deaths , we will not part.

'Round my neck the sacred noose goes,

Suspending me, choking me, taking movement from me;

As there was no life left to be lost.

But when you find me, seemingly floating in the air,

My entire body waving you a friendly hello,

Be not frightened nor taken aback.

The smile on my face, even though it is blue, tells you that all will be well.

Oh, the smile on my face lets you know we will not part.

Do not miss me too much, dearest;

I'm only a dream away.

For whenever you close your eyelids I will be there,

Clawing you, pulling you, into the spiraling depths of hell with me.

Fall with me, let yourself be dragged into the abyss,

The abyss that was so often mirrored on my own eyes.

Find comfort when I cackle the chorus of "join me" to you,

I know you'll come soon, love.

You need not learn how to tie the knot that binds us together,

For I've never kept your needs out of mind.

Every time you wake from slumber,

After every sweet reminder of me,

You'll find the noose loosely about your neck,

And you'll hear a faint "join me".

I will wait, oh I will wait until the day

When finally, after the last threshold is crossed and

We will never part.
