Prologue
Sally Preacher was a pretty, young woman. Today was her wedding. She woke up early with excitement and looked at her beautiful wedding gown. She admired it for a long time; daydreaming herself wearing it when she realized that it was time for her to wear it. She put the gown neatly on her bed and went to the bathroom to take a shower before her wedding.
Many miles away, Samantha Rein was hanging onto the edge of a bridge with one hand and holding her young daughter in the other. Her hand, she realized, was getting sweaty and it wouldn't be long before her daughter and her were both falling into the river below.
'I'll take her,' Came Samantha's husband's voice from over the bridge. He stretched out his hand to take Samantha's daughter.
'No!' Samantha said glaring at her husband while struggling to hold on to the bridge. 'You can't take her away from me,'
'Well, fine,' Samantha's husband said. 'If you'd like her to die with you,' Samantha's expression changed from anger to worry. She held on more tightly to her daughter. When she looked back up at her husband, her was walking away.
'Take her!' Samantha shouted. Her husband turned around, a smirk on his face.
'I knew you would change your mind,' He stretched out his hand to take his daughter. Samantha closed her eyes.
'Here,' She said, her voice barely a whisper. 'Take her,' Samantha's husband hurriedly picked up his daughter.
'Well, time to say goodbye,' He said and her kicked his wife so that she fell into the river. When he turned around there were tears on his face. He never even noticed that Samantha's body never touched the river.
