Don't Let Go

Looking down at this stream

Thinking how beautiful

It would be

If she could jump off

And feel the stinging

Of the rocks and icy water

To drown beneath

The glassy water

To look up and see

No one at her rescue

Knowing all along

She would drown alone

No one would be there

To come and save her

That's one more reason

To jump

Because no one cares

They were the ones, after all

That washed her down with acid rain

Stripping off everything

And still no one cares

She runs away

From the stream

The temptations just too deep

She isn't ready for

The sleep of eternity

She had nothing left

To fix her up

Until he came around

Then again, the lost of him

Drained her all away

Running to her stream again

This time she will jump

Stands high on the rail

Closing her eyes

Hoping she will die fast

Beginning to jump

When someone grabs her hand

Tears of joy run down

As long as he don't let go

She won't fall

To her mistakes

Into the icy water.
