The Silence of Words
There are so many things I want to say,
then there's this grand debt I've yet to pay,
some days it feels like there's nothing left;
been bled dry of secrets too poorly kept.
When I'm spinning out of control
will I find you standing tall?
There are too many words never spoken,
these feelings too quietly un-woken,
and tomorrows always a day away,
then there's this grand debt I've yet to pay.
When everything's going black
will you be there to hold me back?
There's a giant lump of balled up words,
it grows steadily, feels like flapping birds.
when I never say anything at all:
the words are there, just beyond beck and call.
