Vampire: Chapter 3
As Madame Ante and I walked toward the castle, I noticed the strange lawn decorations demons and gargoyles, many of them scattered about. When we approached the door, Madame Ante took hold of the massive door knocker, but before she could knock the monstrous doors opened, and we were greeted by an old pitiful looking man in a suit.
"Ahh, is this Nyx? Madame Noir has been expecting your arrival. Here come in come in. the mistress will be with you shortly. " he addressed us in a fail voice.
My name, Nyx, meaning of the night, was selected by my mother to represent my true nature.
Madame Noir slowly walked down the grand stair case, with a great black and red Victorian style dress, including all of the layers and frailly edges complete with a corset ribbon top. She looked at me with her cold pale blue eyes, a reminder of my own. She smile with a glimpse of her fangs hanging out and gently said,
"Hmmm. my dear Nyx, welcome to our home. Just how I expected you to look… except your clothes of course, but we can fix that. Such a beautiful little girl."
A beautiful girl? To who other that you I thought to myself. Her words left me to wonder who did she mean by our home, me and her or were there others?
"Madame Noir, I'm Madame Ante, I just need you to sign some papers and I'll take my leave." she stuttered out nervously.
"Why yes, of course, are you sure you won't stay for some tea or what not?" Madame Noir have casually responded
"No I'm sorry, I am very busy today and you should get acquainted with each other and... I don't want to be a nuisance." she had said, obviously eager to get out of here.
"Suit yourself." Madame Noir said as walked down the rest of the stairs.
After she signed the papers and Madame Ante took her leave, she stared at me long and hard, as if to read my mind.
