Becoming an angel

Wisps of silver air that flicker under un-howled moon
Chivalry and deep despair tyrant skies that never knew
Deranged in void of speechless tune
Words never sung notes never viewed
To hide and crawl and dare escape
From binding love and certain fate
On wings where feathers touch the sky
And view the world from child's eye
Wake in grasp and sweet caress
In arms of angels holding fast
Whose light ignites the sky with stars
And sees the soul behind the scars
They lift the veil to view my face
Restore the beauty once unscathed
And now in tender sweet embrace
We fall from heavens lastly saved
Last chance to smell to taste the air
Before our lives are skinned blank and bare
We greet the sun that steals the night
We become the angels that saved us from life
