Jessica was gone. Ever since her boyfriend moved to town, she was never in her room anymore. This was perhaps more of a disappointment to Shana than it was to me because they were better friends. She was only my neighbor, but it was annoying because it was not like I was really friends with anyone on my wing.

Shana befriended someone else on our floor, though. She only lived across the hall. Her name was Lauren. She was a pretty girl, as she had the perfect hourglass body and flowing wavy brown hair and an extremely tan face, which made her blue pop out.

"So, Lauren, why haven't I met you before?" I asked.

"I don't know! Shana and I have been talking a bit more lately, but as you will soon see, I am usually locked up in my room doing homework," she responded. Her voice was calm and serene. It was nice, smoothing, and gentle.

"How are you locked up in your room doing work? We go to a party school?" I responded.

"That's what I told her!" Shana responded.

"Shana, what should we do tonight?" I asked.

"One of Vince's friends is having a party. We should go,"

"Lauren, you should come!"

"That's nice of you, Justin, but I don't want to ruin your little party," she responded.

"You can't ruin my little party. The more people that get drunk with us, the better," and personally, I wanted to bring a pretty girl to a party with me.

My phone vibrated. I flipped it open to see that the hot pirate, also named Lance, text messaged me. He was asking me what I was doing tonight, so I responded with partying.

"Who was that, Mr. Popular?" Lauren joked.

"Just a bitch," I laughed.

"Oh yeah?" She laughed.

"We need to buy alcohol before we go, I decided," Shana added in.

"I'm game, but I'm running a bit low on money," I responded.

"I would give you guys money, but I'm poor. My parents don't trust me with money," Lauren said.

"I doubt they don't trust you. You seem very trustworthy, Lauren," I said.

"Oh, but they don't," she turned her head to her computer, which had a blinking instant message. She opened up a game of Solitaire and began to play it. I rolled my eyes. Even though I spent a lot of time on my computer, at least I never played Solitaire.

"I have enough money to buy a fifth," Shana said, digging through her wallet until she found a twenty. I gave her the five I had and promised I would pay her back later.

My phone vibrated again. Lance told me to go to some party at one of these large apartment complexes, but I told him I would get back to him. Apart of me really wanted to go and ditch Shana, but I also thought it would be really awkward. I just imagined trying to hook up with him and then everyone there just staring at me like I was some freak, and then proceeding to call me a fag or something on those lines. I was just not ready for that. I shuttered at the thought and decided for now it would be best just to go with Shana to her party.

Anyways, Lance was such a fag. He was in the gay fraternity and I was not sure if I could handle that. Even though I was attracted

Anyways, Lance was such a fag. He was in the gay fraternity and I was not sure if I could handle that. Even though I was attracted to males, I was not that much of a fag. Plus, maybe if I hooked up with enough women, I will see that women were the right way to go.

"Knock on my door when you get the liquor, I am going to go to my room to get dressed. Lauren, you should come," I said as I headed towards the door of Lauren's room. Lauren responded that she probably will go because she deserved a night out.

Once I was in my room, I turned on my instant messaging program to see Talon was online. He instant messaged me.

LookinOverThere: Hey, funny man.

JustWantinToChill: Hey?

LookinOverThere: I decided it was wrong to judge you on the way you live your life. I hope you can forgive me.

What the heck?

JustWantinToChill: What's with this sudden decision?

LookinOverThere: I mean it is like when someone judges you for being gay. It's wrong, so why should I judge you because of your alcohol problem? I mean, perhaps I can learn something from you. Like, how to take a proper shot. Ahha. I actually never drank alcohol before.

JustWantinToChill: I dont have an alcohol problem

LookinOverThere: I'm just messing. You know what I mean though?

JustWantinToChill: I suppose, and I guess I accept your messed up version of an apology.

LookinOverThere: So what are you doing tonight?

JustWantinToChill: Enforcing the belief I have an alcohol problem. You?

LookinOverThere: Me and my fag hag Leslie are going to watch a chick flick so we can eye molest the hot guy on screen.

I bit my lip.

JustWantinToChill: Cool….

LookinOverThere: What?

JustWantinToChill: Nothing, I got to go though. Peace.

I signed off.

Why did it seem that gays wanted to fit under the stereotypes of being like girls but with penises? So Talon wanted to be friends again, but did I really want to talk to him? He did not seem that interesting. He was just like, whatever. I rolled my eyes and stared up at the ceiling. I exhaled a breath and knew I had nothing to work with here. All of the guys I knew took such pride on being gay. So why was it so hard for me to admit I was gay? They did not seem to have such a problem with it, but I did. I didn't want to be gay. I shook my head and decided to take a shower. It was stupid to think about this shit.

After I got dressed, I went to Shana's room where they were both getting ready. Another twenty minutes later, Lauren, Shana, and I opened the bottle of vodka and lined up three shot glasses.

"Lauren introduced this wonderful idea where we should use a sharpie to mark how many shots we take so we know when not to take anymore," Shana mentioned when she whipped out a pink sharpie.

"I doubt that'll ever happen," was my only response.

Lauren poured us shots, which we all took at the same time. This cycle happened until the cab driver came.

The party was full of drunk kids, who were pretty much stumbling all over the place. All of the lights were off besides this neon sign that was on the living room wall. Music blared as students grinded all against each other. Lance had texted me telling me he was drunk, but I did not respond.

Once I met Vince, he asked me if I was drunk enough, I responded no, so he shoved a bottle of vodka down my throat until I was about to spew it all over him.

The next thing I knew, I was all up on this girl I could barely see, and found myself trying to make a move on her. My tongue slid down her throat, and I felt her tongue penetrate my mouth. Because I was not able to stand, I fell on the couch. She fell on top of me and we continued to make out.

After a few minutes, she got off of my lap and proceeded to walk away. I decided, "You are such a stupid bitch!" I yelled over the music, but she did not turn to recognize my hateful comment. I stumbled towards the kitchen, where the alcohol was, until Lauren grabbed my arm.

With a sweet smile on her face, she asked, "You are crazy kid! Are you okay?"

"I'm fine! Don't I look jolly?"

"I have no idea!" She laughed.

"Hold me," I leant on her as I grabbed my cell phone. I decided it was a good time to text Lance to tell him I was drunk and ready to get some. I smiled once I closed my phone and saw her face. I leant in with my head touching hers. She turned her head, laughed, and stepped back.

"Don't I light up your life when skies are grey?" I asked.

"Sure, Justin, but you need to sit down," she walked into the room that was the bedroom. She helped me onto the bed, which was when I expected her to climb on top of me, but instead, she grabbed her cell phone and walked away. I tried to close my eyes, but everything was spinning.

The last thing I remembered from that night was when we got back to the dorm.

"I'm too drunk to fucking check in. Let's take the stairs!" I hollered to Shana and Lauren, who I guessed were more sober than me. Lauren checked in and as soon as I stopped blinking, she opened the door to the stair well.

"Wait, hold on," I leant over and suddenly found my puke on the side of a car. This was what college was supposed to be like.
