Color Choice
What kind of person likes red or green of blue? Create a character based on his/her color choices.
My favorite color has always been red. Impulsive. Bright. Attention grabbing and dramatic. A distraction from my own shyness, my wish to blend in. It reminds me of the images of Old Hollywood, the platinum blonde hair and those full, scarlet lips. From the freeway you can see the Hollywood sign, set in the palm trees, tall and white. Attention grabbing. My mother was always really big on being center of attention. She had a tall, slender silhouette and luscious auburn curls that framed her face perfectly. I did not have the fortune of inheriting such a dramatic figure. My mother would tell me that I look more like my dad, whom I never met. My hair is pale and thin, the kind that refuses to remain curled for longer than an hour. Large silver blue eyes and a pert nose give me the appearance of snobbiness. My lips are thin and tight; my smile always seems forced, even when I am sincere. As a struggling actress, my mother and I have moved around a lot. The longest we have stayed in any one place as been our location now, just outside of Los Angeles. Close enough to be near job opportunity and far enough that housing is financially viable. Since we have never stayed in one place very long, I have never had a chance to make friends. Not until I came to Burbank, CA did I make any friends. One friend to be exact. Her name was Scarlet.
