'You mean more to me than just a friend…' Ryan murmured against my lips, making me blush. 'And I like it that way.' He deepened the kiss a little before pulling away, mumbling something to himself, and running his fingers through his hair. I turned a bright shade of red and refused to meet his gaze.

Well, you have to say something. I mean you just kissed him!

No, he kissed me!

Yes, but you kissed back.

I really don't like you…

Even though I was the one who made you realise that you liked Ryan?

I would have figured it out…eventually…

'I probably shouldn't have done that without telling you, you know, that I like you and, you know, without knowing whether or not you like me and I probably should have asked you if-' Ryan started talking, too fast for comfort. I could barely catch onto what he was saying and through it all he kept running his fingers through his hair.

I think he's nervous…

Why would he be nervous?

Why are you nervous?

Well, what should I do?

Kiss him, isn't it obvious?

Not really, no.

Well, it should be.

I bit my lip nervously and my face started heating up even more, if that was possible, as I leaned forwards and kissed Ryan, shutting him up immediately. He didn't seem to have a problem with that since he pulled me closer and kissed me back, wrapping his arms around my waist as mine wove themselves around his neck.

What seemed like an eternity later, but was probably just a few mere minutes, we pulled back, both breathless. Me still as red as a tomato while Ryan had this goofy grin on his face.

'I guess that means that you like me too.' He said, leaning down to peck my lips again as I smiled. Who would have thought that this would happen?

The next day of school, all you could hear was gossip about how Ryan and I had gotten together. Rumours were flying around everywhere. None of them had it right anyway. There was the rumour where Ryan was using me to get closer to Stephanie. That one was started by Stephanie. Quoting her words 'Hey! I'm leaving anyway so I might as well have some fun before I go.'

We hadn't even officially been dating and there were already crazy rumours around. I shuddered to think what kind of rumours would begin when we really started dating.

I sighed, putting my books back into my locker. This was the best time of the school day, the end!

'Are you done yet?' Ryan asked from behind me, making me jump slightly.

'Why?' I asked suspiciously, still putting away my books, more slowly this time.

'I want to show you something,' Ryan replied. 'Now hurry up! Please!'

'Wait, what do you want to show me, and why does it require me hurrying up?' I asked, putting away the last of my books.

'You ask too many questions.' Ryan said, closing my locker for me and dragging me away.

'I'm just curious.' I defended myself.

'Curiosity killed the cat.' Ryan pointed out.

'Yes, but satisfaction brought it back.' I shot back. Ryan didn't reply.

Ha! I won!

'You did not.' Ryan huffed.

Oops. Did I say that out loud?

'Now will you come with me?' Ryan pleaded.

'Well, fine.' I gave in.

'Great!' Ryan grinned, letting go of me and walking ahead. I followed him.

'So…where are we going?' I asked.

'I'm not telling you.' Was Ryan's reply.

'Please?'

'Nope.'

'But-'
'No.'

'Then I'll just go away.'

'And then I'll have to kidnap you.'

'I don't like you.'

'Yeah, and that's why you're dating me.'

'I should really let Ashley know where I went…If I knew where I went.'

'I'm not telling you where I'm taking you,' Ryan said. 'You'll find out when you get there.' I sighed.

'Fine!'

10 minutes later, we were still at the side of the street and I was getting bored of waiting to get to wherever we were supposed to be getting.

'How much longer?' I asked.

'We're almost there.' Ryan replied with a grin, pointing at an area covered with woods.

Wait, this place seems familiar.

'Come on.' Ryan grabbed my hand and walked through the woods and out into a clearing where there was a waterfall. My eyes widened in realisation.

'I remember this place!' I exclaimed.

'I knew you would.' Ryan said, sitting down near the waterfall and putting his bag beside him.

'It looks prettier now,' I breathed, sitting down beside Ryan. 'And it's not the same without Blake.' Ryan nodded.

'Yeah…'

'But how did you…why did you bring me here?' I asked. Ryan shrugged, grinning.

'I just thought it'd be a good place for out first date.' He replied. I raised an eyebrow at him.

'So, you dragged me out of school, at the end of the school day, to here, to go on our first date, without even asking me out?' I asked. Ryan's grin widened, as he closed his eyes, and lay down on his back.

'Yep.' He said.

'You're weird.' I said.

'I can live with that.' Ryan replied, not opening his eyes. I just rolled my eyes and observed the waterfall. I can't believe that I had nearly forgotten this place. I should really thank Ryan for reminding me of this place. I remember everything that happened here now.

'What are you thinking?' Ryan asked, sitting up and looking at me. I shrugged and grinned.

'The time when I pushed you into the water.'

'Hey, you cheated!' Ryan protested.

'How so?' I inquired.

'Well, you snuck up…and you had Blake helping you.'

'That's not called cheating. It's called being clever. Plus, Blake is my best friend and he is supposed to help me especially after that mean prank you had pulled on me.'

'Was.' Ryan simply said, a sullen look appearing on his face. I gave him a questioning look.

'Blake was your best friend,' Ryan explained. 'He isn't alive anymore.' I gave a slow nod of my head and bit my lip to keep from crying. Ryan heaved a sigh from beside me and muttered an apology. I nodded slowly again and looked back at the waterfall trying to forget the depressing thoughts of Blake.

'You hungry?' Ryan asked a few minutes later.

'Yeah…I guess…' I replied. Ryan smiled and took out some snacks from inside his bag, handing most of them to me.

'How much do you think I eat?' I asked, giving him a mock glare. Ryan just grinned and started to eat. I followed his actions.

'You know, I nearly forgot this place.' I said after we had finished eating.

'So did I,' Ryan said. 'But after I found out about Blake...I just…kind of remembered about this place…and I've been wanting to come here ever since. I figured you forgot too, so I thought that it'd be good to come here together…you know…old memories and stuff.' I nodded.

'Yeah…thanks.' Ryan grinned and leaned in to give me a peck on my lips, while I blushed a little at the kiss. Even though we had been doing that a lot lately, I still blushed when we did. Ryan chuckled, and ruffled my hair before going back to his original position.

'It still lacks something.' He said.

'Blake.' I replied softly, leaning into him. Neither of us said anything after that, lost in our own thoughts.
