Chapter 1
So, I'm gay. Yeah, people love it when I start conversations that way. And believe it or not, I do find myself saying when I first meet someone, 'Hi, my name is Macario and I'm gay.'
Then, if that hasn't scared them off, I can always introduce them to my…er, 'family'. The one's who stick with me through all that, well hell, they deserve to be my friends!
Anyway, yeah, I'm gay. Seventeen-year-old Greek gay boy raised by his homophobic older brother. Yeah, my life really does suck.
So Arsenio, that's my brother, is twenty-seven. I really have no problem with him, other then his constant gay bashing. He doesn't happen to know my sexual orientation…figured I'd save that little surprise 'till I was safely across the country. The real problem with my brother is, he has this best friend that makes me want to strangle myself. If he doesn't beat me to it, that is.
See, my brother's best friend is Kale. Who happens to hate me…not sure why exactly, all I know that if it wasn't for the fact the Arsenio and I are related, I would definitely be dead. So that makes my life even more interesting when they're fighting.
"So tell me again what I'm doing?" I asked my brother as he stepped out of the bathroom, a towel tied firmly about his waste.
"It's not that hard, dumb-ass," Arsenio snapped, "Just answer the door when Kale gets here. Tell him I have a date and can't do anything tonight." I gaped at him.
"You can't be serious!" I freaked following him down the hall, "He hates me! If I tell him that, a.) He'll know I'm here alone, and b.) He'll be pissed at you so he'll have no qualms about killing me!"
"Don't be such a pansy," he said pushing me aside and entering his room, "Kale won't kill you…and if you actually die then you'd deserve it…weakling."
"Shut it!" I snapped stomping down the stairs and grabbing a beer from the cooler. Hell, if I was going to die tonight, might as well go out trashed.
"Bye, dumb-ass!" Arsenio called twenty minutes later as he walked out the door. "Don't wait up for me."
"Wouldn't dream of it," I muttered darkly gazing at the clock. Arsenio had said he didn't know when Kale would show up…and he had no way of calling to tell him he wouldn't be able to hang out. Kale didn't live with his family…as a matter of fact, no one had any idea where the kid happened to live. He just showed up when he wanted to. Kind of creepy if you ask me, but I digress.
So really, I knew this was going to be the longest night of my life. Part of me wished Kale would just show up, beat me to a bloody pulp, and get it over with. The waiting would kill me.
I stared at the clock for what seemed like hours. Finally, five minutes before seven, there came a pounding at the door. I froze. For a moment I considered running up to my room and hiding in the closet. (Ha ha, no pun intended) But then Kale would just tell Arsenio, and then he'd do the honors for him.
Slowly, very slowly, I stood and made my way to the door. Swallowing I stared at the splintered wood and took a deep breath. I reached out and pulled open the door.
Kale stood on the doorstep glowering down at me, his long rain-soaked hair, plastered against his alabaster skin. An elegant pierced eyebrow rose as I stood gaping at him in the doorway.
"You gonna let me in, puppy?" Oh yeah, another reason I hate him. He has the stupidest nicknames for me that I have ever heard. Don't freakin' ask me where he got 'puppy' from, because I'm too damn afraid to ask.
"Um, yeah," I stood back quickly and stiffened as he walked past, brushing his hair against my face.
"Thanks," he said quietly. I stood dumbstruck for a moment, before quickly closing the door. 'Thanks'? Had he just…thanked me?
"So, where's Arsenio?" He asked stripping off his coat and tossing it over the couch. I tried hard not to stare at him…but God he was so hot! He had on a tight white tee with black netting over it, and a pair of faded blue jeans that left nothing to the imagination. He had his tall 'fuck-me' boots on too…his favorites, according to Arsenio.
"Um…" I cleared my throat and forced my eyes back to his face. "Um…he…he wanted me to tell you that he has a date. Last minute…can't…he can't um, hang out tonight."
Kale stared at me for a moment. "Well, shit." That was all I got before he plopped down on the couch.
"So, what're you up to tonight, sweeting?" He asked with a lazy grin. Sweeting? God, that was worse then puppy.
"Um, n-nothing." He grinned at me and patted the spot next to him.
"Come here," He said tipping his head back and staring at me hard.
"Um, I can't…I have…uh homework and…"
"Come here, puppy," God, that again, "or you will not like the consequences." I swallowed.
"Um…o-okay…" slowly I made my way over and sat rigidly beside him.
"Good boy," he purred draping his arm around my shoulder.
"So…" He began leisurely, "Who's Arsenio out with?"
"Um…" I shifted uncomfortably beneath his gaze, "I don't really know…he doesn't really…tell me things…things like that."
"Aw, why not?" He chuckled pulling me closer, "You're such a cutie."
"Um," Again I tried to pull away, "Kale? Are you alright? I mean…it's me. You…uh, you hate me."
"Never," he breathed next to my ear, "I think fags are adorable." I stiffened. Shit.
"I don't know…what you're talking about…I'm not…I've never…" I stuttered.
"Of course you are,' he sneered, I could hear his old self creeping back into his tone. "You're just too afraid to tell your brother."
"N-no, I'm not-"
"Don't lie to me!" He snapped, suddenly digging his nails into my arm, "I know. I know!"
"S-stop…Kale!" I had begun to panic. "Let me go!"
"Shut up!" He shouted pushing me onto my back. I scrambled to get away, but he grabbed me and forced me beneath him. Pinning my arms above my head, Kale grinned down at me.
"You want me! Don't think I didn't see you checking me out!" He growled grinding his hips against mine.
"Stop…" I begged feeling tears begin to rise, "Please don't."
"Shh," he cooed leaning down and brushing his lips against mine, "Puppy be silent. I'll be gentle."
I closed my eyes tightly as his lips claimed mine. I didn't want this…I was scared. First time were supposed to be special. They were supposed to be…loving.
"Please…please…" I chanted over and over again as he stripped off my shirt, "I don't want to…stop…"
"Be quiet now, puppy," he whispered against my neck, "I'll take care of you."
"No…" I whimpered as his hand began working the buttons on my jeans, "Please, don't. I don't want it to be like this…"
That seemed to get his attention. "What do you mean?" He asked, his mouth growing still against my skin.
"It's…it's supposed to be special…I want...I want to be loved…please Kale…you already took my first kiss…don't take this too…please…please stop. I'm…I'm scared…"
He drew back and stared down at me aghast. "You…you're scared…of me?" I nodded and held back a sob.
"You…you're really…really saying no?" I just stared at him and tried desperately to hold onto my emotions.
"No one's…no one's ever said no before." He looked completely shocked. For a moment he didn't move. Then suddenly he reached down toward me again and I lost it. I began to sob. I let everything out and did my best to curl up in a ball away from him.
"Please, don't…no more…please…please…please…" I cried helplessly into my arms.
"Oh…" I heard him whisper raggedly, "Oh God. Puppy…puppy I'm so sorry! I didn't know…no one's ever…no one's ever not wanted it, I just…I thought…oh please, please don't cry!" With that I was shocked to feel his arms close around me and pull me close to his chest.
"Shh," he whispered softly against my ear, "I'm so very sorry. I won't do it again."
What the hell had happened to the Kale I knew?
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
A/N: How was it? Again, this is my first attempt at slash...let me know if I should continue, okay? Thank you!
