Decision-Making with God

Why is it so hard to make that decision?
Why do I even resist?
For was it not commanded with exact precision?
Yet I still do persist.

After such a long time, have I not learnt?
Not by my will but yours be done.
If so why does my heart sometimes yearn?
For things so undone.

I'm sorry for making it so hard
The path I chose was not easy.
And at times I just gave up,
For the light I could not see.

To the leaders:

May authority grace their every way,
And accountability in their palms
For our hardships they pay,
Our burdens in their arms.
But ever watchful are they,
So that on the correct path we stay.
Their gentle love often mistaken,
Still we were never forsaken.

They console us when we are sad,
They calm us down when are mad.
And when we are simply stuck at a crossroad,
Or wandering like lost sheep aimlessly,
They offer to help carry our load,
While they hearts of shepherds search endlessly..

To God:

You are the light of the world,
The sun upon the sea.
A pool of water on the whirl,
The dawning of the first tree.

Savior of my soul,
Author of my story.
I am yours wholly,
For you are the God deserving of glory.

To believers and non-believers:

For every tear you cried,
A bottle for it he kept.
For every disturbed sleep at night,
By your side he slept.

Though unknown of me you were,
I loved you all the same.
Though my words you could not hear,
My promises I still proclaimed.

What God has promised:

Say the word and it will be given to you,
Look for me and you will find,
For my generosity is more than few,
And my heart so everlasting kind.
Knock on my door and it will be opened,
Utter my name and I'll be there.
Know that even in the flames of fire will you not be burned,
For my angels look after you with watchful care.

Jesus died for you.
But do you know why?
Because he would rather go to hell for you.
Than to go to heaven without you.
