DARK
I awoke in dark
Unable to see
The darkness, it had swallowed me
My blackened sight, it seemed to pierce-
And then I herd it, something fierce
Fierce, and hungry, and sharp, and mean
And darkness made this fierce unseen
I stepped forward
One step, five step, ten-
Something brushed against me then
It made me jump, and scream, and cry
The unseen fierce had passed me by
Fierce circled me
How could I tell?
Along with Fierce came unseen smell
A smell of rot and crusted blood
I didn't move, knowing I should
Showing no fear
I stood my ground
And held my breath
Awaiting death
But death didn't come
Or so it would seem
My eyes opened instead
It was all just a dream
