The Ever-Dreaded, Exceedingly Evil AUTHOR'S NOTE!

Okay, yeah, I know, this is the worst thing to swallow since some poor idiot thought up everyone's favorite food: BROCOLLI! Yes, I'm sorry. I've told myself a thousand times that I was never going to be one of those cruel, evil authors who put these dumb things up, but, alas, I have failed you all.

Because I have, sadly, put this up anyway.

But, truthfully, the reason for this author's note is what pains me far more than my broken vow. You see, I have very sad news for all you dear, dear readers.

This is the end.

No, not the end of the story, just the end of what YOU get to read. At least, until I go and get myself published. Now, this is very sad, and, what is even sadder, is that I'm only going to leave this story up for another two weeks, before I take it down from this site…FOREVER!

You see, dear readers, although I love you with every piece of my heart for your unfailing loyalty, I can't leave this up here. In fact, I'm seriously considering taking down ALL of my stories that I ever plan to do anything with. Even if I just plan to do something with the idea of them someday.

Because, dear readers, plagiarism has become all too common, I cannot, and will not, keep my stories up. They mean the world to me, even more than you all do, I'm sorry to say. And I can't risk losing them to some horrible idea-stealing person with evil intentions. Because, although I'm not the best author as of yet, I do have fits of genius when it comes to an IDEA for a story, I just am not at a level yet where I follow through well enough. In fact, In The Name of Science is the first story that I think has genuine potential, that I've ever written. It needs tons of work, but it's the best I've done in my entire life.

And I won't risk losing it.

So, although there are six more chapters left in this story, I'm afraid I am unwilling to post them. Hopefully, I will succeed in my goal to get my baby (that's In The Name of Science, in case you didn't know) published. Maybe someday you'll see this book on the shelves at your nearest bookseller. Maybe not. Whatever happens, I want you all to know that I genuinely appreciate your support. And I will doggedly pursue getting this book published, if for no other reason than to make sure you all actually get to read the ending.

Not to mention the sequel.

Please accept my genuine apologies and know that I am very empathetic towards what your feeling right now. I've been disappointed in this way far too many times myself. And I'm sorry that my name will now be added to the many authors who failed to deliver.

At least I didn't leave you off at a cliff hanger, though! Everyone has been telling me to get this story off here for an eternity. I've refused, until now, because I didn't want to do that to all of you. But, now, when they have escaped TFA, I feel that it isn't TOO cruel to leave off.

But, I have two extras I would like to add to this horribly depressing Author's Note. And trust me, it depresses me as much as it does you. I genuinely wish that I could keep posting, without fearing someone would come along and take my idea from me, with a snap of their little fingers. After all, what good is a copyright, really, when it doesn't stop people from stealing?

My extras, however, are two very simple things. One is a list of all my chapters, their chapter names, and what movie/fairy tale I got the quotes from. The second extra is a description of the sequel to In The Name of Science.

I'm afraid that's all I've got left to give you.

I love you all so much, and I hope you don't hate me. I hope you're rooting for me when I go out to get this book published, and please look for it in the bookstores soon. Who knows, with your silent cheering in my ears, maybe I'll find someone tomorrow who will publish this thing.

Without further ado, I give you your chapter listing!

In The Name of Prejudice

Jason, Jazz, and their friends are now free at last. But a disturbing discovery interrupts their new paradise. They aren't alone. They have just discovered that sixty other teenagers were kidnapped and made into creatures just…like…them. And their counterparts have also won their freedom from captivity. But, now that they're out, they aren't happy to just settle down somewhere nice and quiet. No, they want revenge on those they consider responsible for their suffering: the entire human race.

The question is, how can a war between two groups of immortals have a winner?
