Liberation
I wish, one day, to be free
and marry who I want to
but the oppression upon me,
that's something I can't do
because 'It's Adam and Eve
not Adam and Steve',
we're the new prejudice
the new, disgusting enemy
because of who we kiss
but we're just like you,
can't you see?
I wish, one day, to be free
I wish, one day, not to worry
of the people left and right
who want to make me scurry
from this liberation fight
I wish we could be free, one and all
so we wouldn't need to fear
like at San Francisco City Hall
where they held their loved ones near
I wish one day,
the President would change
and see a different way
and not think we're strange
but the fight is hard to win
because many people everywhere
thinks 'being gay is a sin'
but I want change in the air
so I'll stand up and scream,
"I WANT MY RIGHTS!"
because I have a dream
and I won't stop my Liberation fight!
