Sometimes, what you say and what you truly mean are two totally different things.

"Take my hand." She said to you, and what she really meant was: Love me.

But, the thing is, this isn't a solo act.

This is you and her in the crossroads between insanity and something else; something you don't really want to know.

(Something that feels a lot like love.)

You refrain from taking her hand, even as the tears start to fall and the cracks start to show (she's breaking, now, and it's all your fault), and walk the other way.
