Just watch my wildest dreams come true
Not one of them involving...
A/N: Okay, I'm making some changes to the story. Hopefully this will turn out better than the original :)
He hated starting at a new school; he had been through it 3 times in the past year, and each time he had to leave his new friends behind. Sure, they promised to keep in touch, but with his constant moving they lost interest. He was supposed to report to the main office to collect his new timetable, but if he was going to be moving again because of his father he believed he couldn't be bothered with education.
"Excuse me, do you know where the main office is?" He had finally found his way through the school gates and gently tapped a short girl with blonde hair on the shoulder, who turned round and smiled at him politely.
"Just go through the main doors and turn left, and it should be the first door on the right." She clutched her books to her body as she spoke, her friends eagerly talking behind her. He had a confused look on his face; the school was state of the art, and unlike any other school he had been to. "Would you like me to show you? You look a little confused."
"That would be great." She laughed at his formality and turned back to her friends, telling them she would see them later. "I'm Matt, Matt Thomas." They had entered the school and he greeted the warmth as he extended his hand towards her. She laughed as she shook his hand.
"Raleigh Halliwell, and you don't have to be so polite. I take it you're new here?" She stopped at a group of lockers and stuffed her books inside, and he took the moment to take in her appearance. She wore a deep blue sweater which cut just above her cleavage, leaving the rest to imagination. Her black jeans did wonders for her figure, and her light ash hair fell about her shoulders in loose curls. She turned back to him, waiting for a reply, but all he could do was stare into her bright blue eyes.
"Oh...yeah, transferred from yet another school. My dad.." She had caught him offguard and he blushed, causing her to smile at his embarassment. She pointed down the corridor and they continued walking, and they finally reached the main office.
"Well Matt, I guess I'll see you around." She flashed him another sweet smile and walked off, pausing to turn back and wave. He was happy that she was nice to him, unlike so many people he had experienced at his previous school.

After many gruelling questions from the moody receptionist and then the bitch of a headteacher, Matt had finally got his timetable. He was only taking his A levels at his parents request, and quite frankly he hated the prospect of more education. With his timetable in hand he walked into the art room, where his first lesson of the day was only a single lesson. Art was the only subject he enjoyed; he knew he was good at it and loved drawing in his spare time.
"Matt, hey." Raleigh approached him with a slight smudge of blue paint on her cheek, but that didn't affect her smile. "Come sit with me." She took his hand gently and pulled him towards her table near the edge of the room, where she sat with another girl who seemed way too shy. His hand tingled at her touch, but he shook it from his mind, believing it to be a friendly gesture.
He sat down hesitantly, way too close to Raleigh as he shrugged off his black jacket. What should he do now? Raleigh had sat next to him and was painting on a canvas, but he couldn't see what she was painting. Leaning closer, he noticed she was painting a beautiful woman, who was wearing a elegant blue dress. He hummed at the painting, catching her attention.
"What is it? Is my painting rubbish?" She seemed hurt at his reaction, and held the paintbrush delicately in her left hand.
"No! God no, it's not rubbish. I was just thinking, if you did more shading and colour contrast then the dress would stand out more." She furrowed her brow in confusion and looked back over her painting, believing she had ruined it. "Here, let me show you." He stood up behind her and placed his left hand gently atop hers, taking control of the paintbrush. He dipped the paintbrush in a deeper blue and traced it through the dress tenderly, highlighting key areas as she watched with loss of breath. "There."
"Matt that's... That's amazing, It looks so much better. Thank you." Raleigh seemed to be completely overwhelmed by his gesture and was happy that her painting wasn't a complete failure. He made an excuse and left the room, attempting to find something hidden in the art cupboard that he could work on. Maybe he could do a small painting? There wasn't much to the lesson left, but maybe he could stay off his next lesson and remain in the art room?
"We meet again." Raleigh's voice came from behind him as he walked deeper into the art room, and he turned in shock as she laughed. "Thanks for helping me Matt." She said, putting the pots of paint back on the shelf. He couldn't help but stare at her perfect face, the only flaw being that line of paint on her cheek. How did it get there? She turned to face him, still smiling, and he thought that she was possibly the most positive person he had ever met.
"Raleigh..."He stepped closer to her, his hand moving towards her cheek. The smile seemed to drop off her face as she thought he was going to kiss her, her heart pounding. His thumb traced a line across her cheek, and she felt herself turn red at his touch. "Paint.." He removed his hand from her cheek and showed her the blue paint on his thumb, and she laughed off her nervousness before she left the art room with haste.
"What just happened?" He muttered to himself, cursing as he thought about how much of an intimate moment it was. Why would she ever be interested in a loser like him? Her cheek felt soft and warm against his hand, and his entire body ached to touch her. He was an idiot for not acting on the moment.

The next few weeks passed like mad for Matt, and every day he grew closer to Raleigh. They were practically best friends, and he knew alot about her to say he had only known her for about a month. He knew that she struggled at home with her new baby sister; her mother had remarried a younger man and gotten pregnant, much to Raleighs disapproval. He knew that she had alot of friends but she preferred to hang around in a small group; and the most painful of all he knew she had a boyfriend of almost a year. He sat with her everyday in Art and Psychology, and she was always very friendly towards him, much to his confusion.
"Matt, hey." He was sat in the courtyard, and was shocked to see one of Raleighs friends, Brittany, taking the seat next to him. He couldn't deny that she wasn't pretty; her flowing blonde hair was styled to perfection and her make-up was flawless, but what really caught Matt was her clothes; she wore a short white skirt which barely left anything to the imagineation, and a pale pink vest top which was delicately positioned to give people the perfect view of her cleavage.
"Hey Brittany, what's up?" He asked, trying to divert his eyes from her clevage. She smiled at his struggle; she could always get guys any way she wanted, and she doubted Matt would be any different.
"Well, you know Leo and Raleigh are going to the dance together?" She asked, winding a lock of long blonde hair around her finger, as Matt nodded. Leo was Raleigh's boyfriend, and it pained Matt to think that they were going to the schools 'formal' dance together. "Well, I thought we could go together, then we can all share a limo!" Brittany exclaimed, her voice sending chills through his skin. All he could manage was to meerly nod, and she squealed in excitement before kissing him passionately on the lips and running off to tell her friends.
"Shit." He muttered, before returning to his lunch.
