a strained crescendo
A/N: Okay. I'm writing a series of poems (mostly haikus) about or centered around music. That means that I will be using musical terms. Depending on the scarcity of the word being used, I may note the word's meaning since I know it's a lot of work to open another window and look it up. :P But seriously, I understand that you probably don't want to go through the trouble, so I'm just going to give you a brief (not exact, mind you) description for the words that I deem necessary. A fermata is symbol that says the note or chord can be held longer if the composer/conductor says so. A crescendo is a gradual increase of loudness. I hope that cleared some things up for you. But then again, if you're really unfamiliar with the terms, I suggest perhaps looking them up or they may not make sense. I can't explain things at all.
Please keep in mind that I'm not an certified expert. Being in choir for a few years doesn't help all that much. As always, review if you'd like.
