The Fire's Destruction

Ash floating through the air

Resembling snow in all but color

Smoky smell lingers here

Decrepitated house,
Frowning, crying

Battered Broken Bruised

Burnt

The sound of silence had been shattered by screams

Screaming destruction, death,

Dire consequences to follow

The austere autumn air

Makes one shiver

Yet the chill breeze isn't the only thing

Giving me the shakes

Ruined things lie on the ground

All with a blackish tinge

A blackened leaf snaps off the old oak

And falls at my feet

Black flakes dancing in the wind

Resembling the snow that will come, and smother all.
