Stray
We, our souls, fall from our bodies like dead balloons.
As life ends, the shell breaks of our skin,
And the energy of our hearts bursts into the sky.
Ocean, land, everywhere and nowhere.
They break apart and spread like flecks of golden light
Into the colors of the papaya and the blue jays.
Into the green, green pastures of our homes.
The being we are threads innocence and treasure
In the brightness of mind, spirit, time.
This lets go like fireflies to the night.
Worlds of places of fascination fail to stand
As the human deepness unfolds the atmosphere.
People, we are destruction.
Passion, we are formed.
