Painfull Death

She looked to the open window, but there was no comfort in the sun

Her emotions colided into unexplainable tears, her composure had become undone

She couldn't explain the tears that made their way down her soft cheek

She fell to the ground in anguish, her body growing weak

The tears continued their flow, she made no effort to stop them

He didn't care or he would have come; life was worthless without him

The life within her began to leave as she peacfully awaited death

Her body grew still as she drew in her very last breath

He rushed to her side, and kissed her lips, but it was far too late

Her soul had already found itself at death's lonely gate

He refused to give up, took her hand, and held it gently in his

'Please,' he begged, 'please don't let it all end like this.'

Her heart had stopped and there was no life left in her body

How could he have acted so foolish? So very stupid and haughty?

He saw a knife on the dressing table, took it, and drew in a large breath

And with that, he stabbed himself in the heart, and joined her in peaceful death
