Madonna On The Rocks

Shadowed by the cliffs she lies,

The light of life long left her eyes,

But waves drawn in bear natures tears

On sallow skin.

In the dark a siren wails,

Draws men from boats, but no hope left,

She's gone. A ragdoll, broken:

Stiches torn, stuffing spewed

On jagged rocks.

Now she's toyed with by the waves.

All there is now left alive

Her hair, platinum blonde before the fall,

Now scarlet,

Joins the frantic kelp.

She slurred last words on broken breaths,

An empty tumbler all that was left,

Her lips imprinted on the glass

Just crimson stains remain

Parents weep, "friends" in horror look upon her

They know she was pushed

Too far by accusing stares and whispered words

And far distorted similes,

No smiles for poor Madonna.
