This begins the tale of a young girl named Cecia Abwise. She was a normal girl living in a normal neighborhood, attending a normal high school…that is until her father showed up. Cecia had never known her father Raul Bryer. He had left her mother when she was pregnant with Cecia. She hated him for it too. She had felt abandoned ever since her mother had told her what he had done.
Cecia had been on her way home from school when she spotted a very expensive looking car in the driveway. She ran the rest of the way home wondering who it was that could be visiting. She quickly entered the house and headed straight for the living room. She stopped dead in her tracks when she spotted her father in a very expensive looking business suit.
"Cecia, good you are home. Come sit down with us and meet your father" said her mother Natalie.
"What is he doing here? How can you welcome this man into our house?" said Cecia holding her tongue to the real words she wanted to say.
"Cecia I know you must be mad at me for leaving before you were even born but I had my reasons. I would've caused problems for you and your mother. It is better that I come now than later. You will understand soon. You will be coming to live with me now" said Raul. The only thing heard throughout the entire house was screaming. Cecia was protesting the idea of her having to live with the man who abandoned her and her mother 16 years ago.
"Cecia please understand this is what's best for you. Your father can provide you with better things and a better education. You are going there whether you like it or not. Understand?" said Natalie.
"Yes mother" Cecia said knowing that arguing with her mom was like arguing with a brick wall. She walked upstairs to her room to begin packing her things up. She had tears falling for everything she was about to leave behind forever.
Cecia arrived at her father's mansion a few hours after packing up everything she owned from her mother's house. She was informed by her mother that she would not be returning ever. She had cried the whole way over and now her eyes hurt.
"Cecia, you will be staying in the west wing with my step-son Zeke. He will be the one to show you around the house and keep you out of trouble, ok?" he said as he began walking towards the north wing of the house.
"Yes sir" Cecia replied as she was led to her room in the west wing by one of the servants. It was completely black and midnight blue. You could not tell where the black ended and the midnight blue began. They had an adjoining bathroom too. This was full of purples. She began thinking maybe living here wouldn't be so bad…until she met her step-brother.
Zeke was standing by the window in Cecia's room waiting for her. He was going to take her on a tour. Cecia's mouth dropped open. He was drop dead gorgeous. Before he could see her staring she quickly acted like she was admiring the room.
"Hey I am supposed to take you on a tour around the house and show you the off limits places. Are you up for it now or do you want to do it in the morning? I mean not like you are going to school anymore" he said in the most handsome voice she had ever heard.
"Umm…we can do it now if it's not too much trouble" she replied back meeting his charcoal black eyes.
"No problem. Raul asked me this favor in return for him getting off my back about doing better with my tutors" he said again in that handsome voice that made you want him even more.
He showed her all the rooms of our wing. He showed me the bottom floor then showed her the top but never showed me any of the other wings. She decided to ask him why.
"How come you don't show me the east, north or south wings?" she said really curious. He turned around staring at me with his piercing black eyes that seemed to consume you. He smiled but it seemed twisted. He moved closer to her and backed her into a wall.
"Do you really want to know why?" he said in a deeper voice than before.
"Yes" she said not scared but slightly nervous about having him so close. He got even closer and pressed his body against hers. He leaned down his lips almost touching hers.
"There are demons in those wings, demons that would kill a mortal for even coming within a few feet of them" he said in a serious voice. She looked into his eyes and seen pain in them. His lips were almost on hers now from his talking.
"Why do your eyes show so much pain?" she asked.
"Because I have wandered there before and have been tortured for it. It is the worst experience any one can face" he said kissing her now. She felt like she was in heaven now. His lips were so soft and inviting. The kiss was like this up until she felt something like someone invading her mind. Pictures, scenes and memories began to flash within her mind.
'What is happening to me? Whose memories are these?' she thought as Zeke released her lips and looked at her.
"You seen them then?" he said quietly still as close as he could be without kissing her again.
"Those were yours…but how can you give them to me?" she asked looking puzzled.
"Because I am a demon and don't be scared I am a good one. My mother married your father who is also a demon. Which makes you one too" he said then began backing away from me and walking towards the west wing.
"What do you mean? I am not a demon. That is impossible" she said as she ran to catch up to him.
"It is very possible because only other demons can receive memories like you did from me" he said stopping at a black and blood red door.
"This is my room. If you need me I'll usually be in here so feel free to come here anytime you like" he said then disappeared into is room. She walked over to her own door and decided she should unpack everything.
Cecia was getting ready for bed when she heard a thunder storm starting up. She had always hated them with a passion. They scared her so much. She tried going to sleep but every time she got close to going to sleep thunder would sound and she would be wide awake. She decided to maybe go see if Zeke was still up.
Cecia knocked on Zeke's door and heard him say come in. She walked into his room to see blood red and black everywhere.
"Wow" she whispered and then noticed Zeke lying on his bed with an Ipod sitting in his lap. He smiled at her
"What brings you to my room at 1am?" he said curiously moving on his bed to make room for her to sit.
"I don't like thunderstorms. They sort of scare me…do you mind if I stay with you tonight?" she said. Zeke moved over even more and made a gesture for her to come lay down. Cecia climbed into bed and lay next to him.
"Comfortable?" he asked then moved closer and put an arm around her. Cecia nodded sleepily now. She was now feeling how tired she really was. She felt safe now that she was with someone else even if she barely knew him.
