"Summer Night"

Field full of fireflies

Flashing right before my eyes

Friendly little fireflies

Flicker off and on.

Fifty tiny fireworks

One of summer's little perks

And one of nature's lovely quirks

When the sun is gone.

Chase them, catch them, watch them glow

Then be sure to let them go

For if you keep them, you should know

Their light will surely die.

Field full of fireflies

Flashing right before my eyes

They say as morning fills the skies

"Come again, goodbye."
