His lips looked so soft, so sweet, so taste able that I had to force myself to look somewhere else before I had the chance to kiss him. My eyes land on his eyes, which at this very moment were close. Underneath those eyelids was these two pair of blue eyes that I always got lost in, and his hair was slightly long, but it suited him well. He laid there like he always did when he falls asleep while watching a movie. He has done this for years, and every time it happens I stare at his beautiful face. That beautiful face belongs to…

Trent

Trent has been my best friend since we were in preschool. Once we met we were inseparable. He would stick up for me and I would always trade my gummy bears for his gummy worms. Wasn't a fair thing, me trading candy while he stood up for me, but he didn't care. I liked Trent since the first time we met; he was the nicest boy I had met. Well I was four, I didn't know much but I knew that he was going to be the best thing in my life. Even as a little girl I knew that I was going to fall for him. I mean who wouldn't he was beautiful even as a little boy.

Trent lived a couple of blocks from my house. His mother absolutely loves me and my mother loves him. When ever he can, he would sleep over, ever since we were little. He would sleep in my room, in the same bed, he still does, but it means nothing for him. My mother isn't scared that I might show up with a big belly for all she knows I know nothing about sex.

She has notice that I apparently am not interested in anyone for the fact that I never mention any one. She thinks that I'm a tomboy because I spend every waken moment with Trent. My mother has no clue how I feel about him and I'm glad because I never want to talk to her about it. Just thinking about telling her makes me want to throw up.

I looked at his slim body; underneath his black t-shirt was a body to die for. He was slim but muscular. He wasn't to the extreme; he was normal, not to big, not to small. I looked at the movie that was playing, if only my life was a love story. If only he loved me back…

I have been there for him. Threw his first girlfriend, his first time getting dump, for every girl he had, when his dad gave him shit, when his mom and dad fought. I have been there for everything; I am his best friend that's what I'm for.

I heard him take a deep breath as he moved to the side; I looked at him as his eyes begin to open. He smiles and yawns…

"How long have I been asleep?" he asked stretching

"About half of the movie" I said

"Wow, that movie must have been boring to knock he out so fast"

"Every movie is boring to you," I said throwing a pillow at him, which he caught

"Not every movie, only these sappy ones, why the hell do we always watch them"

"Because I like them," I said with a smile

"Well, next time it's my turn to choose"

"Fine" I said turning of the TV.

"What time is it?" he asked while getting up

"5:25"

"Shit I have to go over to Holly's house at 6:00"

"What for?"

"Didn't I tell you I have to meet her parents?" he said while putting on his shoes

"I'll call later, to tell you all about it, alright" he said getting

"Have fun" I yelled as he walked out the front door…

Holly

Holly is the perfect girl for Trent. She is beautiful. She is the most popular girl in school. She is nice, kind and caring. Hard to believe as the most popular girl, but it's truth. Everyone loves her, and every girl envies her. I know I do. Her hair is red, and her eyes are green. She has the body of a model and a heart of gold. She is perfect for him, and I envy everything about them…

I got up from the couch and walked up the stairs, and went inside my room. I sat down on my window seat and took out my sketchbook, a number two pencil, and began to draw the tree outside my window…

When I was younger I named the tree out side my window, Gilbert was the trees name. I remember when Trent and I would try and climb it; as we got older he was able to go threw my window because of that tree. He would climb up to my room at midnight when he couldn't go to sleep. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen, but now that he has Holly he doesn't go up my tree.

I put down my sketchbook and went to my vanity; I sat there staring at my face. My brown eyes looked plain and dull. My brown hair is up to my shoulder, it's straight and wavy. I have high cheekbones that always get pink when I blush, and I have full lips.

I was ugly in my eyes. Someone like Trent would never like me….
