Title: And The Cycle Continues

Author: Out-Spoken-Runaway

One-Shot

So I notice you. That's the first thing. I know for a fact that if you looked at me, you wouldn't think I'm hot, or even ugly for that matter. I know where I stand. I know where I stand in comparison to those I know and am 'close' to.

So we meet. You say hello, I say hello back. I'm a bit in a hyper mood you see, so you'll have to excuse me jumping around the place and talking a lot. I seem to have developed a bit of a crush on you, which, in my mind, is going to be nothing but just a mess.

My friend decides to drop by, since we decided to go to that local concert down the road. I can see you loosing any interest you may have found on my and focusing it all onto my friend. I don't mind much. I'd rather it be now then after I decide I like you more.

She's single, and so are you. A nice match, I'd say. But she doesn't want to date you. She doesn't want to date period. She wants a little break, since she just got out of a serious relationship that ended a bit harshly. She's mingling, and I see she's mingling with you.

So I ask her, if you asked her out, would she say yes? And she would. She definitely would.

So I figure, who am I to stop whatever they have? I'll just carry on, as I was.

So then I spot another. You turn towards me and boom, I guess I wasn't too bad looking for you. You come over here and say hi, just when I spot another friend. She makes her way over here, and I guess whatever you saw in me disappears. I guess maybe it wasn't there in the first place.

No worries though. I'll be fine. My eyes travel around, since the music is absolute crap. I spot another friend of mine, and she makes her way over. We chat for a while, catching up on what we missed. We secretly check out all the nice looking boys, until one spies me. I give him a small smile, he's not too shabby. He smiles in return, looking over to my friend with the kind of interest I first saw in him. Another one gone.

I excuse myself, letting the two engage in a better conversation. I walk around, deciding to buy a pop, since I feel quite parched. I look up at the cashier, and wow. He's a cute one, and I can say that I guess he thought he the same about me. Until he spotted my other friend come up to say hi and get something to drink and eat herself.

And the cycle continues.
