Shattered Mirror
Stare into the broken glass
Shattered fragments of my past
The pieces lay, too sharp to touch
They're so small, but hurt so much
A shattered truth, I tried to hide
Now lay in pieces broken inside
Can't I be someone, someone whole?
Someone without a splintered soul?
Someone who lives without a care
My life is just too much to bear
Day and night pass in bliss
A broken rose, my old life I miss
All I've had is now shattered
It's all gone, like it never mattered
All the pieces lay on the ground
It all lay quiet, without a sound.
