Dark water calls to me

And who am I to resist
The cold waves like fingers through hair
Cold to the skin
But warm in its embrace

So close to the waters edge
In actuality sitting here on the ledge
Watching over its beckoning wave
Like a sirens song
Dark water calls for me

Fog rolls by
Both in actuality and my mind
I wish to answer the dark waters call

Do as it says
Sink down below
The bottom,
That you know has no end

Like a dream, drift away
Let the darkness encircle you in its embrace
Slowly close your eyes
Let your mind drift to a different place
Drown yourself and your sorrows and let it carry your cries
Let it pass on to the gulls of the shores

Dark water calls to me
And who am I to resist
The cold waves like fingers through hair
Cold to the skin
But warm in its embrace
