For Her Love
She recalled a day she can't forget,
Her mother the epitome of obsessed.
Though while she was young
She could never digest
The way her mother loved her father, the best.
And while she lays crying alone in her bed
Inside her head it replayed again and again.
There's not a person she loves more then herself
The only one she does is her husband.
Her daughter she could give a crap less,
Then the way she lets herself dress.
Those dark brown eyes hide so much,
But the world just seems to pass on by.
Not a soul in the world seems to care.
Pictures they line the walls
A victorious shrine to her mothers vanity
Just a delusional sign of the beauty she was.
"So much," she said, "better looking then before I had her."
Though while photo's they lie, her daughter can tell,
The ugliness she can not hide.
And her father tells lies after lies,
Her mother, she thought was strong, just lets it slide.
All he does is cheat and spends dime after dime,
On people who want him to treat.
While looking like the nice guy brings him in favor
His family discontinues to eat.
One day things will be better,
One day, her mom will love her better.
One day...
