A professional liar,
She applies her make up
And her personality
To wear to the stage of today.
All eyes on her.
She delivers her lines
She goes through the motions,
Picture perfect
She plays her part.
Tragedies simply horrify
A dramatic faint into the arms of a hero
The words flow smoother than silk
Expressions convince the world.
Gestures in the throes of anger
Impassioned speeches hurls insults and lies
Wounded and hurt
She spits out poison.
A breath-taking finale
All turns right
The good girl reigns
Whilst she is struck by calamity
To thundering applause the cast bow
Our queen bows and smiles
Waves to her adoring sycophants
Radiant in such attention.
The curtains swing closed
And the pretenders return to themselves.
But for our drama queen
The act goes on.
