Twilight is a magic hour

Where the spaces between the stars

Are as deep and mysterious as the well of your heart

And the pools of your eyes

The stars that wink at me are like your bright laughter.

A shooting star blesses me, like your friendship.

Twilight is not the grey, dead time of day,

The time between times,

It is the most alive and sacred

To be cherished like a kiss.

My life is not the grey twilight zone I thought;

It sparkles with new hope.

As the stars come out I watch as I enter the twilight of my life,

And know that the moon will be full and bright
