Proverbs 3:25-26
"Have no fear of sudden disaster
or the ruin that overtakes the wicket
for the Lord will be your confidence
and will keep your foot from being snared." (Proverbs 3:25-26)
Oh Lord how plainly You speak to me
So clear and from Your heart
You have filled me with essence so sweet
I know You can't be far
So my confidence shall You shall be?
Oh how understanding floods!
Your strong power has now filled me
And great knowledge of Your love
Now my fear of being snared
Into a world of evil and sin
Is gone for I know You care
And my Lord will help me win
"Sudden disaster" is now not part
Of how my thinking works
You have loved me from the start and
Saved me from where evil lurks
Thank you, Lord, for showing me
That Your way is always best
With Your help I clearly see
As You lay me down to rest
