As the Snow Begins to Fall
As the snow begins to fall,
It's like I live in a crystal ball.
The sun's rays reflect
Off the tiny specks.
Its graceful decent
must be heaven sent.
The fluffy white substance floats all around,
Until at last it finds its home on the ground.
It sends shivers down my spine.
It is then I know I have run out of time.
Why, oh why, must the snow go away?
When all I want to do is play?
My mom calls me in
For some hot coco and gin.
As I watch the snow melt,
I bowed my head and knelt
Saying, "Dear Lord, thank you
For the snow that is in my shoe.
Thank you for the sun
And for the warm hot dog buns.
Thank you for the hibernating earth
Which produces much mirth.
Thank you for my mom
And for my song.
Thank you, Lord, for giving me life
And all its strife.
Thank you for everything Lord!
For giving me stuff so I won't be bored."
I got up off my knees
And looked toward the trees.
Out of nowhere comes a dove,
And I knew it was sent from above.
A/N: He he, I like snow. :) I wrote this all in about five minutes, although I had the first two and a half stanzas written two days ago. :)
