Way Out

Amidst the howling wind and tumult waves,
The man pulled his cloak tighter around him and hurried to the deck.
Clinging to the rail of the wildly spinning boat,
He surveyed the wreck.
He thought, there must be a way out of this.

Sail and mast torn askew,
Frightened men bailing the waters,
People screaming in the harsh wind,
He joined in and gave no quarter.
He hoped, there must be a way out of this.

But the losing battle found him,
Walking swiftly to the cabin,
Where he awoke the son of God,
Who commanded the crashing waves and roaring wind
And he knew there was a way out of this.

Is this your life?
Where everything is crashing around,
Where you have no control over anything,
Haven't you wondered where help could be found?
There is a way out of this.
