AN EMPTY CLASSROOM

If it had been empty some other time
I would laugh, dance, the bells would chime

Everyone would be out and about
My friends and I would sing and shout

Adults would be taking naps
Meisha, the cast, on Mrs Beck's lap

But no, that wouldn't happen today
No-one would laugh, sing or play

By my friends and piers I tread
I walk into a classroom, where everyone is dead

I look to my seat, I cried and cried
For Recca, my classmates and teacher have died.
