A squabble; notoriety for Claire,
An officer; transferred into The Academy,
Those blank eyes; ever so familiar,
Hyun-Su; the new officer, much to the blonde's despair.

Thoughts In Claire's Mind
I can't believe it! Of all people that is joining The Academy; it had to be that cold, blank eyed, mute, puny brunette, 22 year old named Hyun-Su. It would be all right if she opened up a bit, or at least a bit chattier in some way. But being such a silent, ghost like Ju-on gets on my nerves right to the bone. That… and why is Raquel so enthusiastic about it? It's as if she has gotten fond of that North Korean the moment she first met her. The only thing I can see right now is that they like doing paperwork, and that's about it. Why can't a rowdy member join in, so to make this place livelier?
Permission to say 'Oh cock'?

Office Days 1
The Mute, The Workaholic, And The Sarcastic
8th June 2006; 11.55am
Traffic/Assault Department Of The Academy
Dread could only be felt by one officer, who had already given up on completing her paperwork, knowing that her patience would not get her to it at a speculated time frame. Claire glanced at the table just opposite of hers; Raquel's. As usual, the albino was paying full attention to completing her paperwork, much to the blonde's dismay. But seeing that stint almost everyday of the week, it seemed fine for her, except now there was another form of irritation; that was located just right next to the Swiss. Yes, there was only one person that could wring her patience to the brink of shattering it with only silence; Hyun-Su.
It seemed too good to be true though; ever since the capture of the murderer, Raito Musume, the North Korean had been recommended by the Shinjuku Police Station to join in The Academy in order to fully utilize her abilities. But that itself was the question Claire had in mind. All the blonde knew about the brunette was her probable ability in stealth assignments, and… that was it. She grumbled at that point as she shot a stare at the petite woman next to her, oblivious to the surroundings, even though her right hand was busy jotting down the report of the recent assignment they had- the brunette paused. Claire turned away, rocking her chair while glancing at the ceiling, minding her own business. However, there was a problem to that. The Swiss felt a cold chill running down her spine for no apparent reason.
"Claire," Raquel whispered, while pointing to the direction where Hyun-Su was.
Blue eyes rolled towards the said direction, though her body remained in the same position. No doubt, the cold chill came from that crimson-eyed woman, literally staring at that. The blonde could only freeze at that moment, as if time stood still. Cold sweat broke out from her forehead, even though the atmosphere was cooling in the office. She swore there was more than just staring; Claire had expected the brunette to react with a sudden movement to scare the wits out of her- a faint noise was heard. The Swiss blinked her eyes in wonder; likewise for the albino. The North Korean remained still, not moving a muscle.
"Hyun-Su?" twin-tails Raquel called out, puzzled at the situation. "Is she…"
Claire, unwillingly, got closer to the brunette, checking if she was still breathing- the faint sound was heard again. Blue eyes widened at a possible thought, but seemed all too ridiculous to even mention it out. She could not have been farting at that position, thought Claire. The Swiss then waved her hands in front of the North Korean, trying to catch her attention, nothing- the sound came again.
"Where the heck did that sound come from?" thought the blonde before another thought came into mind. "Wait, not responding when I wave my hands in front of her, and that sound- from her mouth?"
That was when the Swiss let out a heavy sigh- a thud overcame her composure. Blue eyes stared at the petite woman, sprawled on the ground, with her glazed eyes still showing; all too similar like a dead body- wait, is it? Raquel gasped before Claire followed suit, covering their mouths respectively. Other clerks and officers caught attention by their reaction before seeing the new member of The Academy on the ground lifelessly. Several murmurs were heard before the albino reacted.
"She's dead!" her voice roused, literally had her partner thrown into a world of panic.
"Holy mother of-," Claire replied before went on by checking Hyun-Su's pulse.
A silence ensued. Blue eyes turned to look at grey ones, before a shook from the tall woman was seen; the brunette's pulse was null.
"Get the medic, God damn it!" Claire yelled at one of the clerks while few other officers went to her aid, in hopes to use CPR on the North Korean.
Raquel remained rooted in her seat, not sure how to react at the current situation. All the albino could do was witness the whole scene as the medic joined in to check up on the brunette-.
"What's going on?" asked Hyun-Su, somehow annoyed before a yawn left her mouth. "Can't a person have a quick nap?"
"Eh?" Claire responded.
"Hah?" twin-tails stuttered at the sudden turn of events. "We thought you-."
"I was taking a nap," the petite woman emphasized on that sentence before getting to her feet, ignoring Claire that had been holding onto her.
"Then what's with you having no pulse-." the blonde's words were cut off.
"Have you heard an item called a 'wrist watch'? You might have checked my pulse on my right wrist, which had the watch," the red eyed lass countered, showing the said accessory before making her way out of the office. "Going on a patrol now."
By then, everyone in the department was speechless. Not even a word could describe Hyun-Su; was she simply dead at that moment, or was she just sleeping? Claire swore she was dead, complete with those dull eyes, motionless when she sprawled to the ground too. The Swiss was baffled, likewise for Raquel, who later assumed a possibility.
"She sleeps with her eyes open like a fish?"
"Eh?" the tall lady sputtered at that reply.
The North Korean, though had left the office for her patrol run, it did not stop her from slapping her forehead once with her right palm while a thought ran through her mind. "There goes my habit again. Sleeping like a dead body, eyes open to boot."

Location- Parking Lot of The Academy
"I was surprised that you were concerned about Hyun-Su even though you hated her in some way," the albino stated an obvious fact. "Do you have a soft spot for her, perhaps?"
That was enough to agitate the blonde, "When was I even concerned about that mute? She simply sprawled to the ground like a dead body, so it's obvious I had to react appropriately, else the rest would assume I had done something to her."
"A cover up eh? Though you did look genuinely concerned-," Raquel's words were cut off immediately when the Swiss countered.
"I'm not concerned about that puny tot with a sack as clothing!"
Twin-tails let out a heavy sigh, before stating a sarcastic remark, "Keep up with that yelling, I won't be surprised if you ended up looking like a scrotum in a hat when you get older- wait. Claire."
"What, Mop-head?" hissed the blonde at an instant, shooting a glare.
The albino did not utter a word the moment she was called 'Mop-head', but at least she did have the heart to point a finger at the direction where a familiar figure was spotted; Hyun-Su. The tall, ponytailed woman took notice of the North Korean's presence in the area, though did not respond with a sound. Instead, the blonde signaled her partner to tail behind, almost too similar to a serious assignment. However, Raquel did follow suit, though doubtful at what both of them were doing; almost too similar to stalking. Grey eyes turned to the direction where the blonde was; hiding behind a pillar with Raquel herself exposed. That triggered the Swiss to pull her into the hiding spot, though it did turn out to be… a bit outrageous.
"Quit pinching my nose for God's sake!" the albino retorted while her free arms went ways to counter the assault by choke-holding the Swiss.
"Then stop trying to choke me you mutt!" Claire hissed before hearing what it seemed to be snores. "Huh?"
Blue eyes peeked towards the direction of the source, coincidentally where her BMW was. Raquel, finally freed from Claire, only let out a heavy sigh, thinking that it was best to let the matter between them few moments ago slide. However, the incessant snoring sounds were the ones that caught her attention most; the albino was not too sure about the severity of the situation. It could have been a ploy to lure them towards the source.
"Argh! My M3!" the Swiss' voice roused, literally had the silver haired woman running towards the tall woman. "That mutt is sleeping on the bonnet!"
"Hyun-Su sleeping on your car's-," Raquel's word were cut off the second she spotted the guilty one doing so, though almost similar to a drunkard; sprawled onto the bonnet. "Oh, so long it's not my Bufori."
"Hey, this is my car we're talking about, not your little tin can that was made in the wrong century, at the wrong time," the blonde retorted.
"It's a Mark II, not a tin can. It's like calling your BMW a 3-series evolution 'whatever it is'."
"Oh shut it-," Claire zipped before movements from the dozing North Korean had her rousing her voice. "Damn it, Hyun-Su!"
Hilarity had never been to its peak before for Raquel as she witnessed the power struggle between the petite brunette and the furious blonde. Just as Claire was about to grasp the damned Hyun-Su, the small-sized woman somehow turned around, literally evading the Swiss. A grumble was heard underneath the Swiss' gritting teeth before she turned to the direction where the brunette was; the other side of the bonnet. However, as expected, the moment before Claire could get her hands on Hyun-Su, she turned around, as if knowing the blonde's movements.
"Damn you little tot!" the European swore before resuming with the stint, leaving Raquel out of it.
The queer thing that the albino had noticed was the fact that Hyun-Su might have done that, just to annoy Claire. But whatever reasons Raquel tried to figure out, it came out null. Unless... it might have been the possibility that the brunette got drunk and knocked herself out cold; but that assumption was too vague. A faint gurgle was heard followed by a faint cry overwhelmed it. Grey eyes spun to the direction of the source. The albino gasped at the sight before she broke out in a sputter, then into a chuckle. It took Raquel a while to regain her composure after what she had witnessed. However, the second she took another glance at the situation Claire was in, this time round, she broke out in laughter. It was obvious why Raquel found it amusing; who would have thought the Swiss would end up being chokehold by the dozing brunette with Claire's face literally planted onto the hood of the BMW?
"Let me," the tall woman's voice roused, somehow in a pinch. "Let me go you idiot- my face! You're squashing my face, you idiotic runt!"
Claire had tried ways to get out of the situation, even by dragging Hyun-Su to the side of the hood; but everything resulted of the same conclusion. The Swiss was still pinned firmly by that North Korean. Blue eyes turned to the direction where her partner was, in hopes of asking her for help. But when Claire noticed that that albino laughing to her heart's content at the blonde's situation, she held back; there was no point asking her. Raquel might simply ignore her and enjoy the problem she had to face.
"Bugger," thought the Swiss. "As much I don't want to admit, this mutt is good at pinning people down- wait a minute. I've got an idea; a cruel one though."
With her free right hand, she dug her trousers pocket, and pulled out a lighter. Even though she was not a smoker, Claire insisted on carrying one, just in case if it was needed. She knew what she was going to do was sadistic, but it might be the only way to get off from those frail-looking, get firm arms Hyun-Su had. Not uttering a word, she lit the lighter, and placed it under the North Korean's left elbow, but leaving a rather big gap. Nothing; Hyun-Su seemed unfazed by it. The Swiss gritted her teeth as she drew the lit lighter closer to the said elbow, just before the flames touched the skin-
"Ow!" the brunette yelped, before her right arm swung rather swiftly, landing a hard back hand right for Claire's scalp.
"Agh!" the blonde sputtered as a response. "Why did you do that for you little clot?"
"Why are you holding a lit lighter?" Hyun-Su's calm composure seemed to be in shambles. "Trying to burn me alive?"
"I would if I were a cannibal, but you were sleeping on the hood of my car, and you were wrecking havoc on me when I tried to get you off it, dummy!" Claire countered.
"If that spot of my skin where you tried to barbeque it gets wrinkled, I'll hunt you," the North Korean threatened, unveiling the handgun at her disposal.
"Oh, really? How would you do so?" the Swiss leered, having the thought she had cornered the petite woman, until Hyun-Su fled towards somewhat an off-road vehicle. "You're not getting away from me- she's fast; like a cockroach!"
As much Claire did not want to admit, that damn brunette had such agility to the point she was stumped. Never had she known that Hyun-Su could outrun her, not even slightly. But that was not the main issue at that moment, it was what that woman drew out from that odd looking off-roader; a rifle.
"Uh-oh," thought the Swiss, stopping dead in her tracks. "This... isn't what I had expected."
Raquel, who was the witness of the... scenario could only watch the intensity between the two rivalling women with uncertain fear; she had never seen a Type 68 rifle in real life, but now it was in that Hyun-Su's hands.
"What do you reckon?" the North Korean's voice was somehow several tones lower before a wide leer formed on her face. "You mess with my peace, I'll wreck havoc with yours."
Claire was not sure what she was feeling at that moment, but she knew there was only one answer; run, for her life, away from that rifle. Not a word left the Swiss' mouth when she set off scrambling back into The Academy while the brunette tailed behind, cocking the weapon, ready to squeeze the trigger, literally ignoring Raquel. The albino remained silent as an eerie, still sound reverberated through the basement parking lot. She wanted to know the outcome of the chase, but there were some things better left unanswered.
"I'll just do my patrols in my Bufori roadster then," she concluded, not realising the fact that Claire was screaming for her help.
"Raquel! Help me!"
... ... ...
Hyun-Su; the silent one, the insane one,
Claire; the sarcastic, scrambling for her life,
Raquel; ignoring the incident,
An upcoming situation; beyond natural.

Raquel's thoughts...
There were some things that are just too confusing to even understand with logic. It seems that a report of a wandering child was seen at one of the mountain paths near Tokyo. However, several officers that had been sent to investigate never returned with unknown reasons. Me and Claire were assigned to this 'dangerous' assignment, and find out what were the causes.
However, the fact that my roadster broke down immediately when we reached the scene was baffling. That vehicle of mine had been well-maintained, and had no history of engine failures. No matter, the situation degraded when we realised a stack of fresh new newspapers by the side of the road. The date... disturbed our peace.

What is...going on?
