Chapter Seven

Be home late. Help is spending the night. Make sure to let Matt and Jake know. Help is with me. Dinner is in the oven.

xoxoxo,

Josh

I severely doubted they would be upset that Ty is spending the night. Matt and Jake may take some persuading, but I don't care. And apparently neither does Ty.

He explained the blood ball thing to me, and I explained the dream.

Josh: We are going to see Professor Davis at the University. Hopefully he will be able to explain some of what is going on.

I nodded solemnly. I couldn't really decline. This was scaring the shit out of me. I had to figure out what was going on. If Josh says this Professor has answers, I have no choice but to try.

After a short drive through some crowded city streets we pulled onto the college campus. The walk to the campus' science building was short. Two flights of steps and three long hallways later we came upon Dr. Davis' Wing for Biological and Evolutionary Research.

Josh knocked on the door, and his knocking was returned with no answer. He slowly tried the handle and surprisingly it opened.

Josh: I guess we can just wait for him in here.

I followed him through the door. It was way to quiet and the sun was setting very quickly outside the single plexi-glass window. Large lab, barely any light, and eerily quiet; had I been transported into a PG-13 horror movie against my will?

I tried the light, but the switch wouldn't budge. The only light was coming from a neon red door at the end of the enormous science lab. It was closed, but an ominous black light shone out the bottom of the neon door.

Josh: Ty, stay here. I'll go check it out.

Ty: O-Ok.

Josh inched towards the door. I watched him slink into the unknown as my eyes struggled to adjust to the darkness of the room. I faintly saw him twist the handle and walk into the black lit room. As soon as the black light fully enveloped around him, I turned to glance back towards the entrance.

For some reason, the lights in the hallway flickered. Suddenly there was a loud slam and my body jerked around to face the black room. I heard Josh screaming from the other side of the securely closed neon door as a hand clasped on my shoulder behind me. My hands shot up and my lungs released a blood curdling shriek as I swung to run back towards the entrance. My feet carried me faster than I knew they could, and just as I reached the doorway the door flew shut.

The lights snapped on and I came face to face with a man in a white lab coat. Before I even knew what I was doing my hands shot out in front of me. They hadn't even come in contact with his chest before he flew back, smashing through one of the lab tables.

My eyes went wide and I rushed to his side. His lab coat read ACE DAVIS PH.D.

Ty: Dr. Davis?

Dr. Davis: What are you doing in my room?

Ty: Looking for you. We came to see if you could help us.

Dr. Davis: Depends on wheat you need help with.

As is on queue, we glanced over towards the strange room. Josh's screaming had stopped. I glanced at the door in confusion as sounds of crackling and splintering reverberated across the room. The door seemed to be – warping inward. Once warped in a few feet, a voice in my head spoke to me. Duck. Get down. Take Ace with you.

If I had learned anything, it was to listen to the voices in my head. I grabbed Ace by the neck and pulled us both onto our stomachs on the floor. There was a large explosion and shards of the door shot above our head.

I stood, leaving Ace on the ground. I turned towards Josh. He didn't move, even though the door obviously wasn't keeping him there anymore. His eyes were completely white, and they shone like light bulbs. He held his arms out to me, and I barely heard him whisper "Come to me, my love".

I felt the need to walk to him. The second I was there, he secured me into his strong arms. He suddenly went very stiff and I felt a dull pressure in my lower back for a painful few seconds. Without my permission, my hand moved up and stroked his hair.

Josh: I'm here – I'm here my love. Nothing can harm you now, my dear Juniper.

I wanted to ask him why he called me Juniper, but my mouth wouldn't move. I wanted to pull out of his embrace, but instead my head tilted up to his. My lips started to move. Words were coming out. Words I never gave permission to be spoken.

Ty: …dear Armand. You have always kept me safe. I am more than enamored to be in your arms again.

I heard a heavily annoyed sound in the background, most likely coming from Ace. I couldn't turn to be sure though. I wanted to – so bad – but I couldn't will my body to do it. It was then when I realized the shock in Josh's ocean blue eyes. He looked scared, terrified even. I could only assume that meant the same was happening to him.

Ace: Dylan, Caitlyn, get out of them. Now.

Then as if my life – this day – couldn't get any weirder. Any stranger. Any more like a bad science fiction novel. It suddenly found a way. I watched as a man stepped out of Josh. Like, walking through a doorway. He just – stepped out.

Dylan: That was fun Caitlyn! You should have seen your guys' eyes. He looked like he was going to bust into tears any second. Priceless.

Caitlyn: I couldn't tell whether yours was shocked more by you, or the fact that he obliterated a three inch thick solid oak door.

Dylan: Probably the door.

Ace: What have I told you about that?! You do that again and I will have security escort you off of the premises. That's a promise.

Dylan: Sorry sorry! Jesus, calm down!

Then Caitlyn looked at us and took charge.

Caitlyn: So what are ya'll kind gay fellas doin heerre in our lil' Freak Show?

Dylan: I'm pretty sure we know why he is here!

He motioned towards Josh.

Josh: Actually, from what I can tell, our abilities only work while we are together.

Ty: But we only just met today. We only just realized today. I don't know what the FUCK is going on!

Dylan: Well then Princess, why don't you tell us about this fucked up day of yours.

Oh, don't think I didn't catch his sarcastic tone. I just chose to ignore it.

TY: Well, let's see. My new family dropped me off at his house as the silent maid. I nearly drowned in his pool trying to wash his dogs. But he rescued me and within minutes I felt like I didn't just swallow three gallons of chlorine water without fucking breathing. I felt 110 better. Then we couldn't keep our hands off each other. Like – literally, we couldn't. If we separated it was like we were opposite magnets, we always ended up back together. Then there was the explosion, and the blood ball. Then we came here.

Ace: Let's just start from the first strange interaction.

Josh: What do you mean? They aren't strange; at least they don't feel strange. It just feels like without him right there next to me, or on me – whatever, I would just die. My heart feels like its being ripped out of my chest.

Ace was scribbling on a notepad, and saying 'Ahh' and 'I see'. Typical fucking doctor.

Ty: There have really only been two strange things. After the heart thing that is…

Josh: That's the explosion and the blood ball.

Caitlyn: Explosion?

Josh: It was the strangest thing ever. It was like our bodies were trying to conduct a current together.

Ty: Yea. We were a few feet apart, facing each other. It was like a magnet. Like we were being pulled towards each other…

We continued our explanation, about the two things. I couldn't tell whether they were more interested by our blood story, or the fact we conducted our own electricity. Ace had the balls to say we could solve the energy crisis. GRRRRR!

Ace: I was hoping that maybe we could – experiment. You know, test the limits of your powers.

Ty: Absolutely not.

Josh: Maybe in the future, but definitely not today.

Ace looked disgruntled, but then his face resumed its normal position and he seemed fine with our decision.

Ace: Of course. How rude of me. I really must be getting started on my lab work anyways. How about we start some meetings? Get to know each other. That way you will trust me to run the experiments.

Josh: Sounds fine to me.

I turned towards Josh.

Ty: Do you forget that I am your maid? Or maybe you forgot that I don't live with you. Or maybe that Jake would NEVER drive me down here to meet with some…

Josh's mouth enclosed over mine. I instantly forgot what I was saying. His tongue slid over my lips as his hand snaked its way around my torso. God – kissing him felt like floating. Like I wasn't even standing on my own two legs. His lips parted from mine and began to ravage my neck. I threw my head back and ecstasy and my eyes shot open.

Holy. Effing. Shizz. Now I know why kissing Josh feels like floating – because we ARE floating. Three slightly shocked faces are looking up at us, and I instantly feel sick. This sickly feeling – it comes from me plummeting thirty feet back towards the lab's floor.

Yea. Kissing him is starting to get slightly dangerous.

A.N:

I know.
Hate me.
I hate me too.

My story journal was stolen.
I know that is a crappy excuse...but an excuse none the less.

I still can't find it.
So I just decided to continue onwards without it.
So...here is 7.

I hope there are still a few people that care.

xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo,
Ty

Next Time:

I have no IDEA.
I am writing from the heart.
Whatever happens...happens.
