Anyway please be honest in your reviews. I love critical, long reviews with lots of things people found (mistakes, things they liked, etc.) I'd love if you did that for me! and reviews make me update faster, and actually want to update. thanks.

Present Day

"Murphy Linette Davis, escorted by Jared Carmichael, hopes to be part of the Brown University Class of 2012 and continue to her family's contributions to the Make-A-Wish Foundation."

If someone had told her a few months ago that she would be escorted by Jared effing Carmichael at their cotillion and that she was actually enjoying it, she would have laughed in your face. Murphy Davis and Jared Carmichael getting along? That'd be a hoot!

The two were known for their great dislike of each other. They had grown up together due to their small town, their parents' being in the same social circle and sharing the same (horrible) idea that the two teenagers would fall madly in love and get married.

And now here Murphy Davis was standing in a very white strapless gown and white heels next to Jared Carmichael with a genuine smile on her face. Because she didn't mind being here with him, because they were (semi) in love with each other and because, gosh damnit, their parents were right. Jared Carmichael and Murphy Davis actually liked each other.

He whispered something in her ear that no one else could hear and covered her mouth as not to laugh. Parents in the audience wondered what he was saying, hoping it was something like 'I love you, please marry me' (even though that was extremely unrealistic, seeing as they were only seventeen).

What was he really saying to her?

''You're so ridiculous, I can barely stop.''

The pair stepped to the side to let the announcer talk about the couple behind them.

And so here begins the complicated tale of Murphy Davis and Jared Carmichael...
