He sat on the beach the waves landing near his bare feet. His head was tilted slightly his large brown eyes reflecting the stars like a mirror; clear and calm. His slightly tanned skin still wet from the waters caress, the drops dripped deliciously down his toned chest. His dark brown hair painted almost black spiked back away from his face. He neither smiled nor did he frown.

He prayed.

The wish in his eyes showed his happiness, but deep beneath showed his pain. Nobody would see it unless they paid close attention to those beautiful eyes. Like a window into the soul, his eyes reflected his emotions not masked to be set free. A star shot across the wide velvet sky he watched it give birth before dying near the end.

His prayer.

Slowly his full lips turned upward gently into a concerned smile. He dropped his eyes to stare out into the ocean waves. The dark blue waters, crystal in white, rolled over rocks and smashed down upon the sand, in a beautiful whisper. He stood from the sand, walking a ways he suddenly stopped when a soft voice reached his ears. It sounded like an angel sigh his name.

With a shake of his head he smiled sadly. Returning the way he was facing before, he began staggering out into the deep blue waters, each step the waves cried. He closed his eyes when the icy water fell against his knees and legs the numb sensation he welcomed.

No more.

Walking farther into the sea, he felt a hand touch his shoulder, turning his brown eyes met blue ones, like the ocean. A kind smile framed her face as her hand came up to cup his cheek. Her blonde hair blowing around her body, he froze for a second realizing that she was floating above the water. Her body covered in a golden white gown. She smiled bigger, her hand leaving his cheek when his eyes met hers once again.

"You are in pain?" her voice was soft and friendly. He frowned and turned his head away from her.

"No, I am tired." He replied. A soft laugh echoed in his ears and he jerked his head up. She was looking behind him but kept her pleasant smile.

"Yes, but why are you so tired?" she asked looking back down at him, her blue eyes flashing with such promises.

"I give so much and get so less in life." He stated looking down at the water. "I feel drained and haunted for all the things I do for people and yet they ask for more, much more than I can give."

"You have so much in life you should know." He laughed dully at her comment. Her finger went to his lips to silent him. He looked back at her; her mouth was put in a serious smile.

"You give so much and get so less, you think. Do you see what you do for people? All the things you give them you are getting so much from another. You may not know but someone out there would go through just as much for you."

He looked down ashamed and in thought. If he was trying so hard to keep that perfect out look, and trying to make everyone happy then he did not see that one person out there that was in the same position as himself. While he was helping, that other person was helping him trying to make life easy, for him only.

"How do you know this?" He asked his head tilting back up catching her eyes again. She smiled and placed both hands on his cheeks bending she brushed her lips over his in a friendly soothing kiss. As she moved away, his eyes caught something faint behind her.

"I know because I am that person…I am the one who looks after you and makes sure you are happy." She smiled once more before she began to fade. He reached out to grab her but hesitated when two large white wings sprouted from her back. Dazed he stepped back farther in the water, eyes wide in amazement.

"I will be here." Her voice was naught but a whisper like the ocean waves, as she was nearly gone. The last thing to fade from his sight were two dark blue eyes watching only him, the last words stung his soul and heart.

"I will be here for you always"

His Guardian Angel.
