Note: Yes this is the finale To secret affair. I want to say thank you to all my reviewers for supporting me and Gwen throughout the past two years. Merry Christmas everyone!

Story Start

Gin came back a few minutes later with our appetizers.

"Enjoy," he smiled widely at me and winked at Mark. What were those two planning?

"Thank you." Mark said to him, gin bowed.

"Let me know when you would like your wine." Mark nodded but kept his eyes on me.

After Gin went back into the kitchen I leaned across the table, with my hands under my chin.

"What was that?" I asked. Mark blinked his eyes wide.

"What was what?" I crossed my arms and raised a brow.

"You and Gin have something planned don't you? I saw him wink at you." Mark smirked.

'Gwen, honey, now why would I conspire against you? That's absolutely ridiculous."

"Really? Then how come I get the feeling that you're hiding something from me?" He said nothing. "Tell you what, you tell me what you're hiding and I'll forgive you."

"You'd like that wouldn't you?"

"Yes, actually. You know that I hate secrets." He gave me an inquiring look. "Most of the time anyway. Don't look at me like that. You know what I mean." He mimicked me and leaned on the table as well, except he had an amused look on his face.

"No, enlighten me." I narrowed my eyes on him.

"Oh gah! Mark Diablo you will tell me what you're keeping from me or I swear to god I will walk out of this restaurant and you will be sleeping on the couch for a month!"

"Now that's a bit extreme honey, do you think it's the horm-"

"If you say hormones it will be two months. Possibly a year…or at least well after the baby is born!" Not saying a word, Mark leaned back in his chair contemplating me carefully. He pursed his lips in deep thought, then shrugging his shoulders…

"Gin!" Almost immediately the Kitchen doors were flung open and a train of waiters all came out, all holding white lit candles. Gin followed them with a glass of white wine. Making a show, he opened the wine and everyone in the restaurant clapped. Two waiters set two wine glasses out and Gin-again winking at Mark- poured some into Mark's glass halfway. Then he poured mine, overflowing mine until something dropped into the glass with a plop!

Then everyone was silent. I stared at the object in the glass, and I recodnized it. I remembered Mom showing it to me for my sixteenth birthday. It was the ring that she had saved for me for when I got engaged…

I looked up at Mark. He was staring at me expectantly. Biting my lip I reached into the glass, retrieved the ring, and slipped it onto my finger.

Epilogue

5 years later

"Mommy! Mommy!" I put down my book just as my 4 year old daughter Christi bounded into my hospital room. Her springy black curls bounced as she ran, and her wide bright eyes were alive with excitement. I embraced her, and squeezed her hard.

Mark stood at the room entrance with a smile. I reached my hand out for him. He walked across the room looking like he was about to cry, and took my hand.

"Mommy, can I see?" I smiled down at my little girl.

"Yeah baby," I reached into the hospital crib next to me and carefully lifted out a teeny tiny body, wrapped up and bundled in a blue blanket, and blue hat. "Here's your baby brother, Aidan."
