Chapter 2: Parmesan Cheese

It had been at least 2 days before the train stopped at Oxford. It wasn't supposed to take that long. But the train conductor was stupid, so May thought that it was only fair that she gave the poor guy a chance… not.

May hopped onto the platform, and ran away before the guy with the luggage case came and found the suitcase to be empty. She stopped running once she was outside the train station of Oxford. She took out her registration sheet once more, and looked at the address. She saw some elderly people passing by, and asked as politely as she could (which wasn't that polite) for directions to Rounding Elementary School. May got lucky again, because the school wasn't very far from the station. So she thanked the two people, and ran off to the direction of the school.

After around 10 minutes of running, she found herself outside of the school. She gazed up at the giant building of Rounding Elementary School. It was huge, and the playground had a lot of swings and slides. She loved everything about this school… except its name. I mean, what kind of school name is Rounding? Whoever thought of the name must've been stupid. Yes, May was very picky about names. It wasn't her fault though. She grew up with a name that everyone teased her about, and so therefore, she was picky.

The next day was the starting of school, and it was roughly around 6-ish. May was hungry. She had not eaten anything the entire day except for the pink insulin on the wall, which wasn't cotton candy, mind you. And so she set off for a small convenience store, and a nice tree to lie under.

After 5 minutes of walking, she found herself at a small café. She went in, and ordered spaghetti, which was only 5.00. When the food came, she decided to try being smart. "Do you have any râpe?" The waitress serving her looked as if May had committed a crime. "It means parmesan cheese in French lady!" May exclaimed. The waitress stood for a moment or two, nodded, and walked away. She came back moments later with parmesan cheese.

About 15 minutes after May had started her spaghetti with râpe, a man walked in the door of the café and May heard him asking for some râpe. It was the waitress that served May that was talking to him, and she silently handed him the cheese, and walked away. May chuckled because she knew what the word was, and would've laughed if he asked for râpe. Then, her mind began to wander. She began to think of all the different kinds of cheese she knew, and how tasty each one was in its own unique way.

Then she snapped out of the daydream, finished the spaghetti, paid, and left the café for a near by park to sleep in.
