One must set
Beside the earth
In dismissal of its gravity
To know it indeed,
In purpose and intent.
It is difficult, you know.
That is water
To set aside;
That is matter.
That is man
To set aside;
That is love.
If one does
Not know the earth,
And is not high
In the stars,
In cosmic desertion
It is easy to fall
Victim to gravity
And lie
On but one isle,
Proclaiming it
The world
In its whole.
