Missing You

I dreamt of dark, crisp skies
Softest, sweetest lullabies
And thought of you

I heard your favorite song
Laughed at how you'd carry on
Humming with you

I jumped in piled leaves
A childhood of "dropping eaves"
And laughed for you

I found our old hideout
Our hearts turning inside-out
Still loving you

I walked through pouring rain
Whispering that does not change
And cried for you

I read an old, worn book
Meanings earlier mistook
Now knowing you
