a child's incessant mantra
of curiosity and wonder.
he wants to know why
and, given a reason,
he asks why that reason.
rarely satisfied with one answer,
the line of interrogation is set,
once cornered, one cannot escape the
line of questioning per the child.
the answer he doesn't question is a frank
"i don't know."
a/n- oh, the joys of babysitting. if it weren't for thomas the tank engine, i'd think that one of the only words the three-year-old next door knows is "why". so cute :) thanks for reading! xoxo-xan
