Tell Laura I love her

Tell Laura I love her. Tell Laura I need her. Tell Laura not to cry. My love for her will never die.

It was seven o'clock in the morning when William turned over in his bed to answer his cell phone. "Hello?" he asked into the speaker.

"Hey man! What's going on?" a male voice said from the other end.

"I hope you realize it's seven in the morning and I'm going to kill you if this isn't important right?"

"Yeah I know. But man, listen. I just got some great news. You know that Leandra girl at our school. The really hot one that is totally interested in you. I set you up on a date with her, this Friday at the movies. What'cha say?"

"Matthew, I'm going to kill you anyways. I told you I'm not interested in dating right now. Go away," William said and hung up his cell, and turned it off. Well, I have to get up for school now anyways. So up for school he got. Grabbing a pair of jeans off the floor and a shirt, he headed into the bathroom.

"Honey, is that you?" a woman's voice said through the locked door.

"Yeah Mom. It's just me," William said.

"Okay dear. There might not be a lot of hot water if you're going to have a shower so just a little warning," Melodie said. My, the years have gone by. It seems like just yesterday I was in the hospital giving birth to him. But it seems like ages ago Damien said… she thought to herself as tears came to her eyes. Must be strong.

"Okay, thanks Mom," he said through the door again. He decided to skip his shower today and have one later. He brushed his teeth, brushed his hair and washed his face. "Not bad." William examined himself in the mirror noting he had his mothers' hair. The difference in colors ranging from blonde to dark brown, yet his was in patches rather than streaks like his mothers. He apparently had his fathers' looks though; the dark brown eyes and the tanned skin.

He turned his cell phone on again to text his friend Matthew back saying sorry, but just as it turned on it rang. He sighed and answered.

"Hello?"

"Is this William Hardy?" a female voice said.

"Yes, who is this?" he asked somewhat confused. Of course it's my phone!

"This is Leandra Morning. I was wondering if you still wanted to go to the movies with me on Friday. I do realize it's short notice and Matthew told me you were really interested but I wanted to see for myself," Leandra said.

"Listen. You're a nice girl, but I'm not really ready to go on a date. We can still go as friends if you want though," he said bluntly.

"That's cool. I'd really like that. Bye." Click.

"Jesus H. Christ! I'm going to kill him!" William shouted.

"Who are you going to kill honey?" Melodie said.

"Matthew! He set me up on another date with a girl again," he said.

"Well, maybe you should go out with that girl. It'll get you out of the house and interacting with people. I'm not trying to get rid of you of course. Bill? William? Are you still listening?"

The door opened to reveal an 18-year-old young man with tears rolling down his cheeks. "Mom, if you only knew…."

"If I knew what? You can tell me anything," she said and hugged her baby who was taller than she.

He sighed. "Just…how much I love you."
