Title: Hell's Blessing
Summary: "Round and round, like a ferris wheel, the seasons go by in time's eternal rhythm and this pain only grows stronger. The dream continues its lonely march, and as if pleading with the heavens, the longing in my heart to see you again follows..."
Author's Note: I was stuck between Romance and Religion for this one, because there's definitely Angst in there. In the end, Religion won out simply because of the dream I had that inspired it. It was touching, really, because I got to see everyone I'd loved that passed away in what I can only describe as the popular view of Heaven. They all looked so at peace, and my two most beloved ones were welcoming me in. (sighs) I hated to wake up from it, to be honest...And I'm not even sure if Heaven's real or not. Either way, that's why the religion category won out over romance for this one.

Hell's Blessing

As though lost within this dream,
I wander along the paths before me
almost wishing for reality to disappear.
If I stop for a moment, then,
I can clearly remember the sun shining on us
as the birds fly among clouds in the sky;
this nightmare called reality,
it pales in the light of this serene beauty.
Now, with open arms and a hopeful sigh,
if I give my wishes over to you,
perhaps in the mist of this haze of sorrow
you can lift the heavy burden from my heart.
Round and round, like a ferris wheel,
the seasons go by in time's eternal rhythm
and this pain only grows stronger.
The dream continues its lonely march,
and as if pleading with the heavens,
the longing in my heart to see you again follows.
Solitary in its very nature, of course,
a dream is merely a dream;
is it foolish of me to wish for anything more?
Like the bird as it soars through the sky
the warmth the dream brought to me embraces me,
but though I try desperately to be strong
the happiness is slipping away,
replaced once again by such a strong despair.
"A heavenly nightmare of hell's blessing.."
