"Hey Pop! Hi Nana!" It was Sunday, one week till Christmas, and my grandparents had come for a visit. I was in the church's Christmas Cantata that morning, which had gone wonderfully.

"Hello Darling." My grandmother Nana hugged me and turned to greet my mom.

"Hey there Kid." My granddad laughed, and his green eyes lit up. Pop's eyes were just like I remembered Daddy's being. He had died about four years ago in a car accident. Tears still stung in my eyes whenever I thought of it.

"Hey Pop! I'm glad you're here." I got swooped up in a bear hug.

After we had dragged all of their luggage into our warm house, I asked Nana if she would take Julie, Jazz, and I shopping the next day.

"Alright, Darling. Sounds like fun."

"Thanks Nana!"

I walked down the hallway to the phone.

"Hey Julie, tomorrow is on. Be here at 10."

"Oh, ok. Say, Did you talk to Erick Emerson this morning after the cantata?"

I could feel my self blushing. No, the last thing I needed was to start hanging around Allison's older brother.

"Um, no. Why, was I suppose to or something?" My voice cracked. DRAT!

"Your blushing!"

"How would you know, bean-head! You cant see me!"

"ooh…Your getting all defensive…"

"Good Night, Julie!"

I hung up quickly. She knew me too well.

I started to go to my room, and then realized that I needed to tell Jazz too. I grabbed my jacket, jogged across the lawn and rang the doorbell. A tall, dark man answered the door.

"Hello?"

"Hey there Mr. Parker, can I talk to Jasmine? I'm Kendal Roberts from next door."

"Sure, come in. It looks like a tornado came through here though…"

He wasn't kidding. There were half empty boxes of stuff all over the beige carpect and sofas. Jasmine looked up from her box and smiled.

"Hey Ken! What's up?"

"I just needed to tell you that the trip to the mall is on, if you want to come..."

"Cool! Hang on though, I have something for you. I forgot to give it to you and Julie Friday night." She ran down the hallway. I awkwardly smiled at her dad.

"Here!" She came back down the hall and handed me a white envelope. I stuck it in my back pocket.

"Thanks! Well,I got to get home and help with dinner. Good luck with the unpacking! Ill read the note at home" Jasmine nodded and showed me to the door. I shivered as I stepped into the cold.

A/n- srry this took so long to post, and I know that it is kind of a filler chapter, but I forgot to talk about Erick before this! Aah! Lol. In The next chapter it will hopefully finally get interesting. =] r&r!
