Your Guardian Angel

Chapter Two

"Okay so she knows?" the dark haired beauty questioned, hands on her slim hips. Amelia was beside a chair near the dark window, Henry seated in it and they watched the woman. "Yes. She does." Was Henry's calm response, he was stroking the red wood arm of the chair lovingly with his left index finger. Her eyes, like blue ice, narrowed into slits. "And just how could you let this happen? Honestly Henry! You're usually more careful than this."

"It was Amelia's wish for me to meet with her and put her under my protection. It is hardly my fault that Hunters' showed up at the party, Eilonwy."

Those eyes turned on Amelia, who shot a glare of her own right back. "Why does it not surprise me that your new pet has something to do with this? Oh that's right. Because she's been the cause of the last few issues that we've been having to deal with." Eilonwy commented coldly. Amelia growled, taking a step towards the older Vampire when Henry put his hand up to stop her. "Eilonwy Bolerl, you will apologize to Amelia. You do not waltz into my domain and insult any under my protection." his eyes iced over and there was an iron in his voice, a promise of eternal pain in the way he spoke and tensed up in his posture, "Am I understood?" Eilonwy, always the stubborn one, grudgingly nodded and then apologized to Amelia. "Now go tell the council that this will all be taken care of. Not to send anyone else."

Eilonwy Bolerl bowed low to him and turned, leaving them. Amelia turned to watch the other Vampire walk out into the dark yard and morph into a dark bird as she took off. She couldn't wait until she learned how to do that. It'd be so exciting, being able to turn into any animal she pleased. The thought brought a smile to her face.

"Thinking about shape-shifting again, dearest?" her Sire asked her, smiling at her. The young red head nodded without glancing at him. "So how will it be taken care of, Henry?" she asked after several minutes of complete silence. He was quiet for some time before answering. "We will just have to kidnap her."

"What!? Kidnap her! What about her family and friends, Henry? You can't just take her away from all of that!"

She was walking after him now; he had stood and was walking out of the room. "What about your family?" Amelia stopped, and glared at him. "That was uncalled for, Henry. And you know it," she told him coldly, in a low voice. He turned and looked at her with sad eyes, "you're right, my dear. It was unnecessary and you have my sincerest apologies. But this has to be done." With that, he turned and continued down the hall with smooth, fluid steps.

Amelia huffed and started after him again.

It's a bit short but it's just to get some things out there. The next chapter will be longer, much like the first one.
