Curiosity Killed The Cat

(Curiosity killed the cat; curiosity killed the cat…)
It played over and over in his mind like a broken record. He didn't know how it got there got there or even how to get rid of it. The voice was here to stay. He tried to think of other things, so that it would go away to make room for these new thoughts, but it all led back to

the same thing. He was going insane. Go to a doctor, go to a doctor, that's what everyone said. The doctors tried to put him with people who could help him but he got away. He's not insane, he's not insane… He can deal with this voice inside his head. It can be his friend. All other friends sent him to men in white coats but not this friend.

They got along quite well at first. They were best friends because they could relate to each other's problems. Then it all went wrong. They had a fight. Things were broken, things were said. The man ran away but still the voice echoed in his mind.
(Curiosity killed the cat)
Running far, far away from it. Can't get far enough. He sees a house. It is run down and looks like it hasn't been lived in for years. It would never look in there for him. He quickly runs inside, not looking back. The house smells like his attic back at his old house before it came. Like a rotting, musty attic. He goes upstairs and hides in a corner. This is far enough. He can finally sleep. But then
(BOO!)
it is back. He can't get away from it. He will live forever with
(Curiosity killed the cat)
it.
